For KXTG1000 only

  • The base unit must be connected to the AC adapter and the power must be on
  • Press the following sequence of buttons on the base unit: * * 3 3 5 7 8 2
  • When the display reads "Enter Base ID", deregistration has been completed successfully

  • For KXTG1050 only
  • Disconnect the AC adapter
  • Hold the Locator button down while you plug in the AC adapter
  • When the Power light flashes, release the Locator button
  • Immediately press and hold the Locator button again, and release when the In Use light flashes
  • The Charge light should flash for 4 to 6 seconds and then turn off
  • When the Charge light stops flashing, press Locator again
  • In about 20 seconds, the handsets will deregister. When the displays read "Enter Base ID", deregistration has been completed successfully.

    335 is the magic code when you want to remove a previous handset or base station registration!

    2 Enter "335".

    3 "Cancel Handset" i #

    Base Station:

    A handset can be registered to a maximum

    of 4 base units. A handset can cancel a base

    unit that it is registered to. This allows the

    handset to "forget" the base unit.

    My phone display's No link to base. Reconnect main bas AC adapter. It is plugged in what now?

    I had this problem, and I fixed it by re-registering the phone to the base. Here are the directions for how to do that from the manual:

    ----->

    Registering a handset to the
    base unit
    The supplied handset and base unit are
    pre-registered. If for some reason the
    handset is not registered to the base
    unit, re-register the handset.
    1 Handset:
    {MENU}
    2 {V}/{^}: "Initial setting"
    {OK}
    3 {V}/{^}: "Registration"
    {OK}
    4 {V}/{^}: "HS registration"
    {OK}
    5 Base unit:
    - KX-TG4011 series:
    Press and hold {LOCATOR} for
    about 5 seconds. (No registration
    tone)
    - KX-TG4021/KX-TG4071 series:
    Press and hold {LOCATOR} for

    about 5 seconds until the
    registration tone sounds.
    If all registered handsets start
    ringing, press the same button to
    stop. Then repeat this step.
    The next step must be completed
    within 90 seconds.
    6 Handset:
    Press {OK}, then wait until a long
    beep sounds.
    Note:
    While registering, "Base in
    registering mode" is displayed on
    all registered handsets.
    When you purchase an additional
    handset, refer to the additional
    handset's installation manual for
    registration.

    Panasonic kx-tg1100

    STEP1:
    On the handset you want to discard go to "SETTINGS HS" -> "REGISTRATION" -> "CANCEL BS"
    This will discard the registration of the handset to any base.

    STEP2:
    Using the handset you want to register go to "SETTINGS HS" -> "REGISTRATION" -> "REGISTER HS"and select the base you want (i.e. BASE 1, BASE 2, ..., BASE n).

    NOTE:If you do not get access to the BASE you are looking for (STEP 2) then you have to cancel the registration of the new handset to any base. Therefore, follow STEP1 for this handset as well and then follow STEP 2.

    After you finish all the above, hold down the "PAGE" button for about 5 secs.

    You are now done!!!

    Good luck

    Restting the phone handset number

    I would suspect that you need to de-register both 3 and 4 at the same time before re-registering them. This probably will not work if the base unit still thinks phone number 2 is out there somewhere. It would need to be de-registered as well for the others to move up a notch. I did read the process for de-registering somewhere on the web, don't remember where, just that it involves removing/installing the battery and punching some buttons.
