Hi Larry, The tool that you require parts for was discontinued many years ago. Limited parts are available from Dremel. Inside the tool is a flex coupling and spline driver. The flex coupling is # 2615294309 and the price is about $ 1.25. This is the hollow plastic sleeve about 1" long with grooves on the inside, that goes between the motor shaft and the output shaft. The spline driver is # 2615294308 for about $ 1.00. Spline driver sits on the direct end of the motor shaft. The flex coupling sits over the spline driver. PLASTIC GEAR INSIDE THAT CONNECTS SHAFT TO MOTER SHAFT DISINTEGRATED


I found a coupling part at ereplacementparts.com and the part number is 2615294309, but I would recommend calling Dremel direct at 1-800-437-3635 to ensure this is the right one. They made a change on this coupling. Let me know if you need more assistance.

Dremel moto tool model 395 coupling from motor to


The part that goes between the motor and the chuck is called the CLUTCH UNIT,
REF 2615294309 it is a splined rubberised sleeve, it also fits the 276 and 396.
The price is £3.69 (including vat at17.5%) and can be obtained from Jaymac (Derby) Ltd.

My Dremel tool motor still works but shaft won't turn?


Here's the email from I got from Dremel (in my case the flex coupling broke):
Inside the tool is a flex coupling and spline driver.

Go here and find a nice substitute. Many to choose from and it may be better to purchase a pair of them rather than have mis-matched ones. They should be inexpensive enough for you, as low as $2 up to $480. You just need the size of the mounting hole to find a replacement though.

Coupling broke


I have a Dremel 395 Type 3. Motor works fine, shaft doesn't turn. Took it apart to find that the white plastic or nylon flex coupling on the shaft had crumbled and the spline driver, which fits directly over the motor end of the shaft was somewhat worn. I emailed Dremel and got an overnight reply listing the 2 parts I need and the cost: Coupling is $1.00 and the driver is $1.25. Placed order by phone: 1-800-437-3635. I ordered 2 of each in case future replacement is needed. Total bill came to $7.27 including Florida tax and shipping. Can't beat that. They said it would be in the mail by tonight. (Flex coupling number is 2615294309; spline driver is 2615294308.)

REFERENCE M/N: 395 - Type 3 - Dremel does not have the parts listing on their site for some reason. I actually have the original I saved from 1988!
The part number for the Nylon Coupler is:
