My Nokia N72 phone is not starting and it is showing white screen... its not showing NOKIA symbol also... It was getting stuck lot many times in a day.. so I used to remove the battery it and place it again.. day before yesterday same thing happend but at tht time my battery was low so I started it and switched of it agin after some time I charged the battery in other phone and again try to start but it was not starting and showing white blank screen and I tried removing battery and starting.. I tried without Memory card and SIM... I tried in diffrent ways but could not start it. please can you help me here to resolve it.

    When Phone is switched off and if we charge the battery it used show the charing symbol at upper right corner but now if i charge my battery in the same phone, it won't show me the charging symbol... it won't show any notification.

    hi,
    I tried "Press and Hold the following three buttons: Green Call Answer button the “*” button number “3? button"
    this method and 1st time I was able to start my phone and I could see all my contacts also.
    but when I tried to again to start with SIM card, it formated my phone and I lost all my important contacts which were in phone memory. I do not have any back up of my phone memory ontacts.
    So Is there any way to get back my Phone memory contacts?
    Please could any one help me here to get my phone memory contacts back.

AAAAggghhhhh - the N72 family - great phones - good camera - BUT - Nokia had a software problem with them.
If it's the same as mine - the phone will hang for a while and just show the white screen with Nokia name. Then just turn off on it's own.
I went into (www.nokia.co.uk) and found a software patch that worked for a while - then went to a Nokia repair shop - they had a disk with new software - charged me £10 and it has worked ever since.

Oh, very bad. Think you try remove the battery and insert again, turn on the phone. If it's still show blank screen, maybe your phone was crashed. Bring it to Nokia care, maybe they can help you!

i think that there is a problem with your phones's firmware!! it hangs repeatedly !!!you must upgrade it!! go to nokia care and they will do it for you for rs 200!!!

It happens when the OS got corrupts.....u switch on it for4-5 times it will get started(but its not for permanent) then save all your important stuffs into ur pc then go to a nokia priority dealer and re-install the software....
