I have two Samsung HD ready series LCD TVS in two different rooms. Both have their own Samsung remote. TV1 works fine. TV2 works fine BUT when TV@ remote switches TV2 on it also switches TV! off! How can I make the reomotes work only with the TV it is associated with? Thanks Dave

Hi, To change one of your TV with another brand is not a wise decision indeed. Well, Your TV has a remote sensor in the front side. Try to places both TV on opposite position. Otherwise use the used batteries on both of your TV remote commander. This will reduce its signal.

Dish remote 2 changes channels on both tvs and dish remote 1 changes channels on both tvs

Is the receiver in dual mode? Go to the receiver, open the door, and hit the mode key. If both TVs are still showing the same thing, then the issue is not the mode.

Go to TV 2 (the one without the receiver) and make sure the TV is tuned to channel 60 or 73. If it is still showing the same thing, go to TV1 (the one with the receiver) and hit Menu, system setup, Installation, modulation (menu 6-1-5). make sure the modulation for tv2 matches which channel you put your tv2 on.

Still showing the same thing? check the back of the receiver, the RCA cables (red/white/yellow) are plugged into the TV1 ports not the TV2 ports.

Showing different things but the remote still changes channels on both tvs? Go to TV1, hit menu twice, near the bottom there are two boxes each with a number. This is the address for each remote (tv1 and tv2). On the TV2 remote hold sat until it stays lit, choose a number different than on the screen, touch pound (#), the sat light blinks three times, hit record, the number on the screen should change to match the one you typed in.

Dstv remote not working on any blue dials? Two tv's in separate rooms, one pvr decoder. Only the red dial works on both tv's & both remotes are working & both tvs responding properly.

Is this a newly installed system? If both tv's are responding to the same remote setting (red in case), it means both tv's are set to the same channel. The tv that is connected to the decoder directly (via AV cables, I presume) is supposed to respond to if the remote is set to red. In order for the second tv to respond when the remote is set to blue, you need to tune the second tv until you find the picture of tv2 (the decoder transmits both tv1 and tv2 on the RF/coaxial output and it seems that your remote tv is tuned to tv1 instead of tv2).

Dish Network TV1 remote doesn't work with new TV

Becki Schuurman,

Our remotes can all function independently. If the family room is TV1, then you can definitely program the remote there and have no complications with the TV2 (As long as the frequencies are different). Keep in mind our remotes are not guaranteed to work all types of equipment, but we have many steps and options to get it working.

If you have any additional questions or need any assistance, just let me know here or at [email protected]!

I have a Dish receiver 322. TV1 is set on channel 3 and TV2 is set on channel 116. Everything worked. We moved the receiver and TV1 into another room (right next door to where it was). We triple checked...

Hi hartbettinaI see where your TV2 has a blue screen, there are a couple of things you can doyou can do. The first things you want to do is press the buttons of MENU-6-1-5and see if TV2 is set to channel 60 or 73 and make sure TV2 is on that channel.Once TV2 is on the channel on the Modular Setup page you will want to unplugthe receiver for 10 seconds and plug it back in and it will reset itself. Iwill send a link that will help with these steps. http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/black-blue-tv2

TV1 is in the room with the receiver, that portion is controled by infrared remote, TV2 is the remote tv portion of the receiver and is controlled by rf (radio frequency). Requires a special remote to operate

Tvs sync together

The receiver seems to be in single mode. On the right side of the receiver press the front panel. A small pop open door will open and inside there will be a MODE button. Press this button and ensure both the green and blue lights are lit on the receiver. If they are now but weren't earlier this should solve the issue however there may be another issue.

Take the TV2 remote to the TV1 location associated with that system. With the TV1 remote and TV on press menu menu on the TV1 remote this will bring you to the System Info Screen. Near the bottom of the screen there will be two remote addresses- primary=TV1 and Secondary=TV2. Using the TV2 remote press and hold the small clear SAT button until all light across the top light up. Now key in a two digit number that is different from the original secondary address at this location and also different than the address for TV1. Now press the pound key and the SAT button will flash thrice. Now press the record button a few times until the secondary address changes to the number you selected. Once this is done you can exit out of all screens on all receivers and go to the TV2 location that was having the issue and it should be resolved. I hope this resolved your issue and thanks for using Fix Ya.

My LG remote control turns two TV's on simultaneously

I had the same problem and we cut up a stick on lable and placed it over the end of the remote . It weakened the signal enough to where it would not change the other tv/tvs. We colored in the white lable with a black marker and you dont even notice it there.

It took alittle playing around with but it was much cheaper than buying a remote.
