It won't HELP it, that's for sure. Go to a sporting goods store and purchase what's known as "Snap Caps" for your weapon's caliber. They're small plastic "ammo" that has a spring embedded where the primer/igniter would normally be located. When you dry-fire, the spring provides the proper resistance to the firing pin, preventing over-extension and premature wear/breakage of the pin. My apologies if I'm incorrect, but I've never seen a chainsaw that had the primer bulb connected to the gas cap.
So,,,,,
I'm hoping you're asking two questions at the same time.
1) Primer bulbs are replaceable but it's extremely rare that it is necessary
2) Gas caps are replaceable but only needs to be done if they are broken.

There is a tab on either side of the carburetor right where the primer bulb sits. You can depress both of these tabs with a screwdriver and pry out the plastic ring that holds the primer bulb in place. You can purchase a new primer bulb (with a new plastic tab) from a local mower shop or from a small engine repair shop. When you install the new primer bulb, put the rubber bulb in first then put the plastic ring on top and press it in until the tabs click on each side. It should work correctly after the tabs are clicked properly. You can take off the air filter and look into the carburetor to see if the unit is priming correctly. I hope this helps you out.
Look at the outside of the plastic housing where the primer bulb is inserted, you will see an open area where there are 2 tabs, one on each side, using a small screwdriver, push these tabs inward to release them and slide the whole thing out of the hole including the primer bulb. The new primer bulb normally comes with a new mounting ring if you purchase it from a lawnmower dealer
I have a Homelite Super 2 chainsaw that has a hole in the primer bulb on the fuel cap...will not prime. Where can I find a replacement primer bulb fuel cap?
right at the front in the middle below plastic housing. Has 1 large plastic cap on a metal lower casing, not metal bodied like old oil filters just has filter element. Also replace 'O' rings that should come with the new filter as the old will have squared off or become perished. I think you need a 27mm socket to undo the filer housing.
Sure. (This will void your warranty and bypass smog requirements!) There is a red and a white limiter cap on the carburetor adjustment screws. Red= High speed / White = Low speed. Remove limiter caps. Turn both jets a 1/2 turn counter clockwise, Start, then fine tune. Use the low speed and idle screws to smooth out low to idle speed and the hi speed jet to tune the full throttle.
Check the following while running the engine, with coolant topped up:
The plastic reservoir bottle could be cracked check for leaks.
One or more of the hose-clamps aren't sealing well enough.Re-tighten or replace.
The radiator cap seal is torn or broken this would be obvious by steam and/or sputtering water at cap level.Replace cap.
The radiator might have sprung a leak or rusted through.Repair or replace radiator.
The cooling hoses may have perished.Replace.
Check around the water pump as one of it's seals or bearings me be worn out.Repair or replace.

You can order them directly through Ryobi and pay a small fortune or you can go to any small engine repair shop and purchase the fuel line by the foot. I believe your primer bulb can easily be replaced with what your local shop will have in stock. The parts from your local shop will probably out last the factory parts anyway.
