None of my video inputs work but the sound does with my old Pioneer Laser Disk player. The CD portion plays just fine. The DVD input gets picture with my Trutech DVD player but no sound. None of the video inputs works with either sound or picture with the DVD player. The laser disk gets a blue screen on the DVD input no sound but Sound in all the Video inputs but no picture. I never tried the video inputs before and the Cords are all fine. What gives??

Yes is will. You need to attach the MP3 to one of the inputs and select that input to play it. A burned CD should work just fine.

Sounds like the input board on the tv fried. (45-65$ fix if that's it)

Try the same two devices on different inputs , ie change from hdmi to component , or just use hdmi 2 instead of one, you get the idea.

Make sure the devices dont work on other inputs on the tv.

Then take a different device , like a 3rd dvd player and try it.

If nothing works in that input but works in other inputs the tv input board might (likely) need replacing.

If the third fresh device does work in that input , it is both dvd players or the cable you are using. (try to use a different cable in the tests than the one you have already used. )

I would guess this model is over two years old. not sure how much you paid, but target sells a decent surround sound blue ray system for just under 300. i got it. it works great, streams netflix movies an even has an internet radio system in it.

if you dont wanna do that, and have made sure that you have tried brand new cds, another option is to play cds on a cheap cd player hooked into your surround sound. it can go in any input on the back with an adaptor you can buy at radio shack, or many of them have an input in the front.

they used to make a cd lens cleaner, not sure if they still exist. it was a tiny brush hooked onto a cd that you put in and it cleaned up the lens.

bottom line is that it makes little to no sense to me that it would play dvds and not cds. i would assume that they both use the same lens to read the device.

connect audio output (RCA Jack white n red color) from the video, to the audio input of your TV. Make sure you use same AV channel for the video and audio.
i.e AV1 or AV2 or AV3

Check your tv settings may need to change from speaker out to line out.

Check the tv input on the receiver, put the cd or dvd cables into the tv input. If you get audio the receiver is fine. No audio check the receiver settings.

check the norm pal or ntsc,or video format

Have you changed the connections recently? If so, maybe something got plugged back in differently.

Otherwise check the AVR-2807's System Setup. There is a menu to associate different video inputs to each of the audio inputs. Probably the input with sound doesn't have the right video input associated with it, though I'm not sure you can associate a video input with the CD input... which tells me maybe the connections got changed?

I'm not sure what aux input you're using - but be advised that if you've plugged your mp4 player directly into the RCAs in the back that won't work - those are outputs, not inputs.

You need to use a Pioneer CD-RB10 (or CD-RB20 if you're running a cd changer, XM tuner, or any other IP-bus component) in order to get an auxiliary input.

If you've done that - you need to go to the initial settings menu and set aux input to 'on'. Instructions are in this link, page 89.

DO you have hdmi monitor turned on?

When you say No picture?? s the Picture all black Like theres no video? Try checking the video input on the tv or the cables from the player. If the inputs and cables are bad then theres a poroblem in the video processor in the dvd player and the only way to vix that would be to get a schematic diagram and a scope and trace out the video and see where it disapears.
