Electric motor does work when switch is turned on. Tried different electrical outlets but still not work.

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Dirt Devil 12 Amp HEPA filer vacuum cleaner. It sounds to me like you may have a 2 motor system according to the picture and it also sounds like it could be the bottom motor of which if it is not working well then it may need replacement – there is really nothing you can do for the brushroll motor other than replacing it. Question? Do you have any suction from the main motor? If you do then it definitely is the brushroll motor that needs replacement. You can always check your Royal owners manual under the trouble shooting guide or you can contact the Royal cust serv dept listed below.
