SOURCE: i have a brand new

You may need to recode the remote since you changed batteries, and the newly installed batteries are new, and installed correctly.

My Samsung AH59-02402A remote for blue ray home theater system won't work. The BD/receiver button stays lit up

If the BD/receiver button on your Samsung AH59-02402A remote is continuously lit up and the remote isn't working, it may indicate that the remote is stuck in the wrong mode. Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try:
  1. Check the batteries: Replace the batteries in the remote and ensure they are inserted correctly.
  2. Reset the remote: Remove the batteries from the remote and press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Then, reinsert the batteries and try using the remote again.
  3. Check the mode button: Make sure that the mode button (e.g., BD/receiver, TV, cable) is not stuck. Press each mode button a few times to see if it's responsive.
  4. Re-sync the remote: If your remote is designed to control multiple devices, such as a TV and a home theater system, try re-syncing it with your device. Consult the user manual for instructions on how to do this.
  5. Try a universal remote: If none of the above steps work, you can try using a universal remote that's compatible with your home theater system.
If none of these steps work, it's possible that your remote is faulty and needs to be replaced. Contact Samsung customer support for further assistance.

Why won't my samsung smart tv emote wont change chanel

It needs to be Re-Paired to the TV.

First, fresh batteries, and clean battery contacts if needed.

Then, Try Pairing procedure:

  1. TV off
  2. Bring remote within 3 feet of TV
  3. Push Pairing button (Paper Clip or other pointed object in button hole)
  4. Turn on TV
  5. Should be paired. Try remote channel or other buttons.
  6. If not, try 2 more times.
  7. If still not working, push RESET button first and repeat Pairing.

Samsung remotes for LED / LCD TVs are generally RF, not IR.
Most Universal remotes do not generate RF signals, so disregard advice about codes for Universals.

  1. TV off

TV IS NOT RESPONDING TO REMOTE. I'VE CHANGED THE BATTERIES AND HAVE TRIED OTHER SAMSUNG REMOTES THAT WORK ON MY OTHER TVS. ANY SUGGESTIONS...

Sounds like problem is with TV. Make sure the remote sensor on the TV is not blocked, it is located at the lower right part of the front of the TV.
