My jetted tub motor will run, but it will not push any water through the jets. There is a port that appears to be an air vent on the surface of the tub. When you turn the tub on, water does not move through the jets but it will push water up through the air vent. Any suggestions?

Hi Claude. If your spa jets appear to be pulsating or pausing, first check to make sure your filter isnot clogged. If your filter appears to be okay, you should next take a look at your hot tub's water level. If there is too little water, air could be working its way into the system through the jets.
Not normal for that to happen but the jet faces on the two back jets may be turned off or down.
Try turning the face of the jet clockwise and see if you get more water flow out of each jet.
Some air jet bubbler blowers are designed to run for 5 to 10 minutes after you drain the tub to push all of the water out of the air channels. It should shut off on its own once it senses all of the water has been blown out. If it continues to run much longer than that, then contact the mfg for a service call. You have a warranty if it is a recent purchase that should cover it. Hope this helps!
the air switch should be connected to a switch by the motor the air switch is ur on off and should run from the button to another switch by motor the air switches were put in so there was not live wiring by the tub surface ,the the tub button/switch is like a bellows and pushes air into tube to turn switch on/off
one or more of the jets are turned off. i would suspect someone is plugging the jets off which causes water to go backwards in the system and the water goes out the air controls.
solution: check the jets to make sure the jet faces are turned on and/or tell someone to quit plugging off the jets when they are in the tub.
check behind the access door for a air tube that goes from motor switch to button if either side has come off you have to re attach it just cut off 1/4 inch of the tube before you do. that will make it fit tighter
This is a problem common to all whirlpool/air jet style tubs. The pumps become air locked due to the water evaporating from lack of use. All tubs need, and have, SOME means of priming the pump, this is most likely what the problem was, originally, for you. This time in particular you found it to be electrical in nature but for future reference, for you and all who have these style of tubs, I am putting this out there. Some where on the tub, usually along the top edge of the tub is a vent knob that controls the amount of air that the pump is allowed to mix with the water for the jets, usually by closing this valve all the way (tub needs to be full of water of course) and running the pump for a minute or 2, you should be able to get the pump pumping water again, if not you may need to do something else with your particular set-up to get it purged of air, the pumps in jacuzzi tubs are designed to pump water, not air, so if the motor is running but you get no jet action, your most likely air locked and need to prime pump/purge air.
