I have a 5550 generator and all the sudden the power outlets stopped working. I pressed the reset buttons and nothing. I hooked my electrical device to another generator and it works. What is the problem with my generator?

Hello, it sounds like either you have a voltage regulator failure, the rotating field coil is shorted or opened, or the exciter windings have failed. No easy answer because there are a number of issues here as you can see. Depending on how old the unit is you might have warranty. I would suggest you take it to a generac service center to have it checked out. I have 30 years experience with generac units. If it is a voltage regulator issue, (this can be expensive) you can get a jobber regulator. This link is for a good generic substitute. http://www.mcphersoncontrols.com/html/mcp_products/voltage_regulators/MTS63-4.html
I have used this regulator on 4000 watt to 50 kw units successfully. If it is a winding, then to rewind the stator part of the generator is expensive and a new generator is cheaper.

I HAVE A FEDDERS AIR CONDITIONER MODEL AED24E7F-C THIS UNIT TRIPS THE RESET BUTTON ONCE IN A GREAT WHILE IT RUNS FOR HOURS OR DAYS ON END AND THEN TRIPS. IT TAKE AWHILE AFTER THAT BEFORE I CAN RESET...

The reset button is part of the cord. The cord has built in arc detection. This is a complex circuit that monitors the unit and senses potentially dangerous sparks or arcing inside the internal components of the A/C (motors, switches, etc.) It sounds like the problem is getting worse - as they usually do. Sparking and arcing happen when dirt, corrosion, etc. accumulates and can result in pitted contacts. All of these conditions only make the sparks and arcs worse. Page 1 of the manual (left column) says this:

If the Arc Detection Device has tripped, the
reset button will pop up.

Follow these steps to reset the Arc Detection
Device:

1. Unplug unit from electrical outlet
2. Press the reset button
3. Plug the unit back into electrical outlet
4. Check to see if power has returned to the unit

Testing

You should test the Arc Detection Device
equipped power cord monthly, after every major
electrical storm, or if power to your Room Air
Conditioner has been interrupted.

Follow these steps to test the Arc Detection
Device:

1. Unplug unit from electrical outlet
2. Press the reset button
3. Plug the unit back into electrical outlet
4. Press test button. Unit should trip and reset
button will pop up.
5. Press reset button again for use
If above test fails, stop using the air
conditioner and contact customer service by
calling the following toll-free number:
1-800-332-6658 or email:

I hope this helps & good luck!

Buttons arn't working

Hi!

Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons simultaneously until the Apple/iPod logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step until apple logo appears.

If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.
If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.
To reset your iPod
  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons simultaneously until the Apple/iPod logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.
If you are still unable to reset your iPod, use only one finger from one hand to press the Center (Select) button, and one finger from the other hand to press the Menu button.
When you reset iPod all your music and files are saved, but some customized settings may be lost. Date and time are preserved (unless the iPod reset itself because it had no power and then was reconnected to power). Other customized settings, such as Bookmarks, On-The-Go Playlists, Shuffle, Backlight timer, and so forth are preserved from the last time the hard drive turned on.
iPod not responding If your iPod does not respond to these steps, see additional steps in the "iPod troubleshooting basics and service FAQ".
Additional Information Apple releases new versions of the iPod Software Update application from time to time. These later versions may include new functions or improvements to existing features. Learn about updating iPod's software.
To return iPod to its original factory settings, use the iPod Software Updater utility to restore iPod.

RV Generator Power Cutting In and Out

I'd say you probably have to have the gfi receptacle replaced. The gfi recepts can be pretty touchy sometimes. The test and reset buttons sometimes stick or do not reset due to just being old and not used very often. I am an electrician and we see this alot. I try and test mine often as I can remember to do it. If you are not qualified or experienced with this type of work please find someone who is. If you do attempt the change out, just please do it with the power to the outlet off!! Be careful around electricity! Good luck, I hope you find the right solution!

Try connecting the printer to your old machine again, if it works it sure that nothing is wrong with printer.

You should check your laptop USB connection for electric leakage. use a multi-tester or something like that. Sometimes electric leakage will cause damage to the USB devices.
