To pair a Samsung remote model AK5900104R2A with a Philips DVD player model 714821 2001, you will need to first locate the Philips DVD player's remote code. You can find this code in the instruction manual, or by contacting Philips customer service. Once you have the code, press the "Setup" button on the Samsung remote and enter the Philips DVD player's remote code. If the code is accepted, the Samsung remote should now be paired with the Philips DVD player.
Try 016, 804 or 571 for the Samsung Audio System. If these don't work, let me know the model of the Universal remote and we can get you a copy of the remote's user guide. Thanks.
ITS THE TIMING PROBLEM OF THE SYSTEM, TRY TO RESET THE TRAY AGAIN ON ITS RIGHT POSTION, IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO DO IT, CHECK OUT WITH QUALIFIED SERVICE TECH
long reading time for cds or dvds only means that there might be dust or residues hindering your cd lens to accurately read the data of the cd/dvd. what you can do is try to clean the lens with a cd cleaner.always check the cd/dvd that you insert are clean and fre of dust . if this still wont work and the player still have the long time to read the cd/dvds, my advise is to bring this to a service center and have this checked out.
The system isn't 'seeing' the disc, probably due to a bad or dirty laser pickup. Try cleaning the 'eye' of the laser with a dry q-tip. You've have to get inside to do it. If this doesn't help, then the laser pickup is gone and will need to be replaced. This is probably the most common problem with CD players.
Hope this helps, and please rate my advice, good OR bad.
The brands all vary as well as the players. I would try different brands until you find some that your player/recorder likes. We use Imations and TDK's. For DVD burning I would definitely stay away from non brands.
