Sounds like calcium build up, You need to descale the machine.

If you look at the grounds on the basket, After the brew cycle is over there is like a hole in the center of the grounds. This happens when there is calcium build up in the tank, tube and or spray head. And takes forever for the brew cycle to end.

Follow the instruction on your manual to descale the brewer.

I have a bunn coffee maker that takes over an hour to heat brew water.

Clean a Bunn coffee maker once every three months if you have hard water. ... Unplug the Bunn coffee maker from its power source. Verify the brew funnel is in place in the machine, and set the decanter in the unit as if you were going to make coffee. Add 1 quart of white distilled vinegar to the top of the brewer.

My brand new gr speed brew by Bunn is taking nearly 15 minutes to brew a 10 cup pot instead of the 3-4 minutes claimed. Any advice to help?

Hello, Trent -

I checked the User Manual for the Bunn Speed Brew
< http://www.bunn.com/sites/default/files/care-and-cleaning/49740.0001.pdf >
and didn't find the problem you describe in the troubleshooting (Let's Solve) section.

Therefore, I recommend you telephone Bunn Customer Service and talk with a someone there. See this web page to find the right number to call and the days and hours of availability:
http://www.bunn.com/contact-us

The company may need to send you a replacement machine.

Why won't my bunn coffee maker turn on

You should check to insure that the tank inside the machine is full of water. Pour in 1 pot of water at a time until you get water to come out of the brew basket. If you haven't done any internal damage it should be ready to brew a pot of coffee inabout 20 minutes.

Have had this coffee maker about one year. It used to make coffee in about 3 minutes, now takes about 10. What can I do to speed it up?

It sounds like you might have minerial deposits building up in your lines. Try cleaning your coffee maker.

Fill the water reservoir half way with vinegar and brew through. Once you've done that, mix up a 50% water/baking soda mix and brew that through. Compete the cleaning process by running just clean water through. Your coffee maker should be good as new!!

My Bunn NHB is about 2 1/2months old and when I flip the lid to start brewing, is takes about 10-12 minutes to brew. It is not limed up. Problem?

Did you do the vinegar cleaning and deliming of the machine? If this didn't correct the problem, then please call customer service at 800-352-2866 with the model and date code off the bottom of the machine and we can replace it for you.

My Bunn is taking forever to brew and the coffee

It sounds like the thermostat might be allowing the water to boil and cause the grounds to be scorched and making your coffee bitter. It also could be caused by the machine needing to be cleaned and delimed. I would recommend you do this first-and if you don't have the use and care manual, you may call Customer Service to have one sent out or access one at www.bunn.com @ home, then products.

No manual with Bunn NHBX coffee maker.

before plugging in place your empty filter basket in the coffee maker and place a pot under it. Slowly pour in two pots of water using the pour pitcher. Now you can plug it in. it'll take 15 min to heat up first time . when you brew your first pot leave your water level a little short, because the water will expand (only the first time)

My bunn is too slow

Use the de-liming spring to clean the copper tube behind the spray head. Pour several pots of clear white vinegar through the unit to further remove lime and scale from the interior of your coffee maker. My Bunn is 24 years old, and the only replacement parts I've ever required are new carafes and the 4041 silicone washer repair kit.
