How to Expel Air on Miele CVA615 610 Coffee System

Do you ever get an Expel Air message? it sounds as if there is a blockage or the pump went south. Does the Hot Water side work?

Which system do you have? Does the Screen show an Expel Air Message?

Open lock to enable.

The printer tells you to insert a letter format paper in the mp (multi purpose) feeder (the manual tray).
If you press the GO key the print probably proceeds with print job (if has the paper loaded in mp feeder)

keep holding the hot water button down until you get a steady stream of water with no air. if you continue to get the error message after the water comes out, you will need to check the flow meter. if water never comes out, you have a leak inside the machine, a pump issue, or a blockage in the water path. That machine uses the same pump for steam and hot water, so if your steam is working, your pump is probably good. Blockages usually occur from not descaling properly. That machine is prone to leak at the hose fittings. the original o rings were black rubber, and failed fairly early. the replacements are red silicone and last much longer.

You do have to use the exhaust tube, would need to put a hole in your wall. Also, these units really generate a lot of heat. We tried one, it almost seems as if it actually makes the room hotter! You would be better off buying a small regular unit, constructing a hole in the wall to the outside.
If you absolutely cannot do the hole, you could get an extension to the exhaust tubing and maybe use a window in another room?

Do that for min. 5 times. Than the Problem will be gone ...
