I have a sony ericsson c902 and can't send or receive text messages. This problem comes after I took my phone off charge and a note came up saying something along the lines of, 'there is a problem with your phone, stop using it immediately and contact sony ericsson for assistance.' However, I can still make phone calls. When i send a text, it simply says the text failed to send and it goes into the outbox. When a text is sent to my phone, the other phone user is led to believe he/she has sent the text and is given no indication that I have not received the text. I'm really confused as there are no obvious signs as to why this has come about!

Try performing a 'Master reset' to restore your phone settings back to default.

Select 'Menu' > then select 'Settings' > then select the 'General' tab > then select 'Master reset'.

You will then be asked to choose between 'Reset settings' or 'Reset all'.

'Reset settings' will restore your phone settings but will keep all of your personal data.
'Reset all' will DELETE all of your personal data and restore phone settings.

Try just 'Reset settings' first then try to send a message to yourself, this will test if your phone is able to send and receive messages. If messaging still won't work, try 'Reset all' then try to send another message.

If it still won't send or receive messages, I recommend you give call Sony Ericsson Customer Service a call, their worldwide phone number list can be found at:

for sending text messages :
1.go to your message settings and check the message center number to see if it is correct
2. call to your network operator customer care
3. request the message center number...
4.note it down
5. go to message settings>message center number
6. insert the number which is noted by you and save it
this solves your messaging problem ...

when a phone does not receive or send text messages, it is either caused by the message setting of the phone or the phone has contacted a VIRUS.

You will need to reset the phone or check the message settings if it as been tampered with.

a firmware issue.. use SE pc software. take a back up ( full phone or required data) and get the software reinstalled.. for software search n free download n instructions www.sonyericsson.com

Okay if you notice this happens to you Send yourself a picture message (Any Multimedia Message should work) and all of a sudden you will start to receive all your texts messages like crazy lol. I like to think of it as a clogged toliet and it needs the plunger to push all the stuff through hehehe.

Take it to the dealer you received it from, ask to try a different charger i think the problems there.

this happend to me, ring orange and tell them, they will send u an update and u turn ur fone off n then back on and it should work!

how to delete message recipients go to send a text when the list ov number come up hightlight the numbers one by one you want to delete and press the { c } button and it will ask you if you want to delete press yes this is for all sony ericsson

you will need to check with your provider to get these details as the numbers vary from provider and country
