Hello
Either you have turn the Touch function off or the problem might be with the connection its might be loose. You can check in the control panel for Touch function. Or your keyboard might have quick function keys. The bottom of the keyboard has (fn) and another key on the keyboard will have the touchscreen icon.
There is strip flexible cord that connects the LCD panel which moves along with the hinges and it is possible that the strip has failed. So please check the continuity of the cord to confirm. It is possible only the first few tracks are damaged as the touchscreen works.
The strip can be sourced from Sony but take consensus before you remove and take out the strip.
check the conector of the touch, if the touchscreen connector is not connected properly just unconnect and connect properly ,if it does not work buy a touchscreen.
I going to use the following trig identies:
cotx = 1/tanx, and tanx = 1/cotx
Therefore:
(tanx+coty)/(tanx*coty) = (tanx + 1/tany)/(tanx/tany)
multiplying the top and bottom by tany yields:
(tany*tanx + 1) / tanx
This reduces to:
tany + 1/tanx
Which equals to:
tany + cotx
Touchscreen not working ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clean the screen with a microfiber polishing cloth. Do not wear gloves while using the touchscreen. Do not use the touchscreen with wet hands or immediately after applying hand lotion. Moisture affects touchscreen behavior in the same manner as it affects a trackpad. If you have a protective plastic sheet or film on the touchscreen, try removing it, because it may be preventing the touchscreen from working properly. The current application may be unresponsive; press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPod touch for a few seconds until a red slider appears. Then press and hold the Home button until the application quits. If that doesn't work, turn the device off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of the device for few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. If the device did not turn off, reset it. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for a least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Please rate me
the ribbon wire of the keyboard is lose contact. If you can do it by yourself, just remove the terminal then attached it again. But if you cant, then go to service center. tanx.
