SANSUI DVR-80HDD PLAYER TAKES A WHILE TO COME ON, THEN SCREEN FLICKERS ALL THE TIME AND WHEN I PUT DISC IN FLICKERS, SAY LOADING AND THEN SAY NO DISC. IN BEGINNING I SWITCHED IT OFF AND ON AGAIN AND OPENED THE DISC AND CLOSE AGAIN FOR A FEW TIMES AND THEN IT STARTED TO READ THE DVD, BUT NOW IT DOES'NT WANT TO READ IT, SAY LOADING, FLICKERS AND THEN NO DISC

either the lens is weak in your dvd player or the get your cd checked in another dvd player to confirm the doubt.what exactly has problem.the player or the disk. thanks.

Did you finalise the disc. If not try that. These older units were made before there were a lot of "homade" DVD's and were never designed to play them. Sorry. Hope this is of some help.

I think you need to take it to the service center, because there's nothing that you can do all by your self.The problems starts from the optical lens/ laser pick up, replacing the lens could be necessary.

Hi,

your player is not reading blank disk because of type of black disc you are trying to record with it. Are you aware that there are different types of black disc? There is DVD R, DVD RW, DVD +R and DVD -R.

I think the particular type of disc you using is not compatible with the player.

Try to different types of disc and you will detect/know the right/exact black disc for your player.
