I own an Emerson 37inch tv modelnumber EWL3706 AND SERIAL NUMBER J33615468 LAST NITE THE VOLUME WAS AT 26 AND ALL BY ITS SELF WENT TO 60 IT WONT GO DOWN NOT WITH REMOTE OR ON TV ITSELF I UNPLUGED IT AND ALL WHAT COULD BE WRONG ? I GET ALL MY DISH NETWORK CHANELS CAN CHANGE THEM BUT THE VOLUME STILL AT 60 IF IT DOES GO DOWN IT JUMPS RIGHT BACK TO 60

Hello! Your tv controls the volume if it jumps up to 60 after moving down it may be interference with the TV's remote sensor. Has anything changed i.e. new lighting ? Try calling Emerson at: 8002562487

Static electricity fried the button panel
static electricity can damage the chips on the boards. it all depends were the static voltage went to, if it was just to the buttons controller board or to the main av board. you could need new button board or you could need to replace the main board and the button board its hard to say with static shock.
