Toshiba TDP-P5, used unit. Startup image comes up ok. When PC is hooked up, the image does does not change from startup. Cables test okay on other projectors, the video port on the PC is working ok on with other projectors. I've tried resetting to factory image and no luck. When I select MENU --> SETUP --> PICTURE, I get the message "Not available without a valid source. This has happened when hooked up to different PCs and with more than one cable. Any suggestions on what the cause/solution is?

I selected the source/select button using more than one cable. The "searching" box appeared in the lower left corner for 10 seconds, then the Toshiba "choose freedom" default screen came back up. The only other thing I can think of is that most projectors have a native resolution of 1025 x 768. Most of those will recognize and project at higher resolutions, but some won't. You might try lowering the resolution of your laptop to see if that helps. I'm sorry, but I can't think of anything else.
