Have heart freedom-10 with a link 2000 . the charging seems to have stopped. when I put a/c power to it the "ac in" light comes on then the "charge" light . then nothing happens. NO charging, NO cooling Fan. NO extra draw on the ac supply. The "charge" light stays on continuously. Has worked good for about 10 years.

Until the inverter is turned off completely, either via remote or on the front of unit it will draw power, it goes into standby mode. Waiting for a load. Depending on the remote you have, if you have on they turn off differently. A link remote or basic.

How do you get the PCB out all the 4 screws are out and clips are pushed off the pcb contacts on the sides. Unscrewed the antenna, but not the soldered in bulk antenna mount. I is still locked in somehow? how do I get the board out to look at the keypad buttons so I can see if threre is a bad contact?

was it working correctly at some time in the recent past? (i.e. not a new installation and/or changed wiring), the "Invert" light is off on the panel and will not come on when you press the button, battery voltage is between 10V and 15V and you don't have a bad battery/cell that pulls the entire bank down the instant the charging voltage is removed, and the unit is well-ventilated and not in thermal overload, the problem is most likely an internal failure which will necessitate taking the unit to a factory authorized service center, since Xantrex does not sell parts or schematics to the general public.
