My printer won't align new ink. It says load paper in tray. I load it. then blank page come out and gives me the same message. Load paper in tray. I did a diagnostic test and at the bottom it says...

Sorry to know you're in trouble with your printer. Here are my suggestions: You have to buy a new genuine cartridge or you can refill ink. Be warned! Refilling ink or using a refilled ink cartridges will not work until the ink cartridge chip or ink monitor is disabled. For instructions on how to disable an ink cartridge chip, please visit [http://www.ehow.com/how_6201242_disable-ink-cartridge-chip.html]Now you can CURSE the manufacturer of your printer for making your life sucks by making it complicated the things that should be made SIMPLE and EASY. Printer or Cartridge, more or less, cost you the same. Don't you think the printer cartridges should be made simply refillable/usable unless they are broken, and we should be buying only the ink for the cartridges. It is SO ANNOYING, dude! Good luck.

Loaded cartridge, but the printer still says load right side

There may be some ink covering the circuit pads on either the ink cartridge or the flexible circuit board that makes contact to those small gold pads on the ink cartridge. I have been able to get cartridges to work by cleaning both the pads on the flexible circuit in the printer and the ink cartridge very carefully with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.

How do I load an ink cartridge into a f 2480

Hi,

Power on the printer, gently raise or pull the head up when it has finished loading and ready to print. you will notice that the ink cartridge house moves to the middle.

Now power off the printer with the printer head still raised, gently load the ink cartridge you want to insert into the printer and pull the printer head down back after you have load it.

You can now power on your printer to boot up.

Have error message saying paper is to narrow, load wider paper and press enter, A4 is loaded print options are set to upper tray A4, paper is loaded, cannot clear message

Hello.

That message is indicating that there is a problem with the cartridge alignment.

From HP:There are several reasons why the HP All-in-One may fail to align the cartridges. The most common reason is an ink cartridge that has one of the following problems:
  • One of the ink cartridges is low or out of ink. Black and all three colors must be available.
  • The paper has already been printed on or is colored paper.
  • Protective tape on a new ink cartridge has not been removed.
  • Contacts on the ink cartridge are not meeting the contacts in the carriage correctly.
  • Cartridge is remanufactured or refilled. Refilled or remanufactured ink cartridges may have been damaged during the refilling process or have clogged ink nozzles.
  • The ink cartridge is defective.
Also, use a fresh piece of paper that has never been printed on for the alignment process or the alignment will fail.

Hope this helps.
