Hi,

Judging by the cameras response the battery may be low on charge. Try removing the battery (there usually is a button close to where the battery is inserted) and charging it overnight. If it still does not work the battery pack may be dead or worn out. You may need to get a new one as batteries gradually loose their capacity overtime and eventually die.

If the battery is a Ni-Cd or Ni-MH you can attempt to revive it by charging it fully, then discharging it by running the camera, and repeat this cycle many times.

Thanks for using FixYa,

Hello when power on my camer My camera display "Turn off and restart"

dear sir,
the first suspect is your battery, ahich is running in low battery....kindly recharge the battery for few hours and then put your camera on........
next, the problem is usually caused by virus and sometimes it might be software failure also, which causes some of the menu not to function, the only solution is to flash ur cam software from the nearest samsung service centre
thank you.....take care................

Hello

Thank you for using FixYa for your problem

Always check the batteries first but if is it still giving the same fault, your camera is faulty.
It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

Anything is fixable but it is more "is it cost effective"

Sony vx1000 program functions not displaying in lcd and viewfinder

You'll have to find a local repair center that handles Sony or send it to Sony's factory repair center. Look on Sonny's website for instructions that will apply to you.

It keeps on taking pictures over and over!

Hello totzz:
It seems that this camera may have a stuck button or a shorted circuit.
See if you can get to any menu options. Reset all, if you can. Then test it.

Camer won't turn on.

I had the same problem and realised the camera is sensitive to the type of batteries you use.  I had put in non rechargable batteries.  Some brands seem to work and some don't, but rechargables are best, particularly the original sony batteries .  Try changing the batteries.
