I have same problem. 2gb pendrive not accepting any format. currently showing as RAW format.I have used many formatting softwares but all failed.I have also tried the solution you have given i.e. formatting in DOS command.but message say's "invalid media or track 0 bad- disk unusable" [email protected]

if window is unable to format try to format it using some utility software like hp disc format utility download link http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=197
Go to "My Computer", right click the Jetflash drive and click Format.
Select "FAT32" as the File System.
Check "Quick Format"
Click Start, and hope like hell there wasn't anything important on there.
opening pen drive, it shows 'please insert the disk' & it shows 0 bytes & while trying to format it shows the same message again , i am using 2 gb pendrive of trancend.
My 2gb hp pen drive showing please insert drive error. Also property showing free space 0 bytes. Please send me hp recovery tool or any equivalent tool to solve the same problem
