As far as I know, the original zd8000 operating system is Windows XP. If you have Windows 7 installed, then you need to get Windows 7 disc and its product key. If you need the Windows XP reinstallation media, then you can use HP Windows XP reinstallation disc only (for example: HP Windows XP Professional with SP2 disc).

You should run windows upgrade advisor as I don't think your specs meet the requirements

1. try run as admin
2. try xp sp2 compatibility mode
3. disable uac

To change the operating systems say from Windows XP to Windows Vista or Windows 7 you need to purchase Windows upgrade disk or a full version of the Windows installation disk.
