Phillips 37PF73203 37 in Television goes straigt to Menu and stays

When I turn on my TV it goes straight to the menu screen. You can still hear sound but no picture. When I try to exit you see the picture for about a second then it automatically flashes back to the menu screen. Even if I try to use the functions in the menu screen it flashes right back to the main menu screen. Very frustrated...need help!

I just did the software upgrade and it was simple and it fixed my problem of the TV reverting to the Menu. Go to philips.com and type in the model number of your TV. Click on the Firmware Upgrade Software link and download the autorun.upg file to a USB drive. Instructions on upgrading your TV software can be found here:http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/3/37pf9...
    Good luck!

Verify in customer menu, installation, software upgrade, current software info that software is 1.5.0.0. if not upgrade by downloading from p4c.philips.com website and upgrade via usb memory stick. if upgrade is successful and menu still pops up would be a small signal board issue

TV turned off itself

Can you still turn it on?
If so, does it stay on with sound?

If the sound is ok and the picture is blue (even when changing channels, inputs, etc.) the lamp may have gone out.

Can you see the TV menu when you press the menu button on the remote or TV?
