Compaq Presario CQ50 notebook screen goes fuzzy when opened to a certain angle (about 90 degrees). Wires being pinched at the hinges? If so how do I go about repairing this?

It sounds like you've damaged the cable that goes from your graphincs card to your screen or when you move it to 90degrees it's disconnecting. it's usually caused by someone opening the laptop and not putting the cable back in the right place, or loose screws in your hinges or a broke hinge. there are plently of videos showing how to open it up. follow one of them and make sure your wires are sitting in the right place, you don't have loose screws and the hinges aren't broken.

The screen goes blank on a certain angle

The hinge is probably pinching the LVDS cable or else the cable is loose/tight. This requires a complete tear down and reseating the video cabling.

My HP Compaq Presario CQ50-130US PC Notebook won't turn on. It just flashes on the front where the lightning bolt symbol is. It was running fine an hour ago.

Two probable problems the screen or the motherboard, if you have some technical skills you can open the laptop and figure out where the problem is using a multimeter. If you are not very good with computers the best thing you can do is to take it to the service center.

The screen on my compaq cq50-215nr is constntly shaking. I can close it about halfway and it quits. It is very annoying. but it will not operate eith the screen in the open position

This is due to the complaint of your LCD screen, this can been fixed by making the nob of the screen tight.you have to give your laptop at complaint center of Compaq.

When I move the The laptop screen turns green and fuzzy

Restart the notebook and press F10 to enter into BIOS which should be blue in colour. The move the laptop and check if the screen turns green and fuzzy.

If the screen turns green and fuzzy in the BIOS, then the isuse might be hardware malfunctioning of the screen and your notebook needs to be repaired.

Presario c769us screen scrambles

It's the lcd video cable. The wires are damaged so when you move it up and down at some point they touch and at other times they don't.

Replace the cable and you're good to go.

Screen problem

Perhaps your connections on the inside have come loose. It may warrant you take it to a specialist to check it over before it gets any worse. Some other person was on here some time ago who had a similar problem and all it was is the switch in the lid. Apparently they tinkered with it by just kept on pushing it back and forwards as if to continue to open it and it came right they tell me that they hardly used it thats why!.
