I just bought a DW735 planer and ran a 6" x 24" piece of 3/4" poplar through it, with the planer set to remove 1/16" of thickness. I used the speed 1 (slow). It ran through fine, but I got several irregularly spaced ridges about 1/64" to 1/32" wide that ran the length of the board. The ridges are about 1/64" high, protruding up from the main reduced thickness of the board. The same thing happened over and over again. Is this normal? Do I have to return the machine for a blade change? I have not taken the machine apart to inspect the blades.

How do I properly conntect the wires between the switch, the reset and what I think is a relay on a DW735.

Without a view of your saw....I usually do 1 of 4 connections.
1) solder them in place 2) use the appropriate 'spade' connector 3) use an insulated "but" connector. 4) twist the correct wires together, solder, and insulate them

Dw735 planner thickness

Is it cold in your shop? The rollers won't work if they're cold because the rubber gets stiff. Clean your rollers also with mineral spirits. Hope that helps.

Dewalt DW735 planer (chips inside the main housing)

Common problem. As long as the chip/dust doesn't impede the dust collection or interfere with anything else, it's normal, and to be expected.
