I even bought the expansion card that increses the time for OGM to 6 minutes. I can leave a OGM but customer are unable to hear it. I am using AT & T voice mail right now.2) I cannot use a non propierty phone with my system.3) I cannot program the music on hold feature. Any help would be greatlyh appreciated. I have tried Panasonic to even get me paid support but without luck.

How to make an outgoing calls?

A 7730 phone is very stupid. The "smarts" are in the system cabinet and each one is different. In a TA series box (624/824) there are "lock" codes that are programmed in system programming. The sequence depends on who did the locking in the first place, and it's beyond the sequence of a free forum to post the solution.

Try searching for a programming manual for your system and check out the Features manual under restrictions (3xx comes to mind). Once you understand the philosophy of Pana restrictions and permissions, you'll be able to see what you have and how to change it.

Telephone Panasonic KX-T7730. Taken over in a school office and phone has an outgoing message saying "Please press 0 to speak to someone" This message was recorded by previous member of staff. ...

Let's pretend that this is a TA-824 system with DISA and it's answering all phone calls. It's not likely that you can do much of anything unless you know what system the phone is connected to and have the manual and ability to do programming. With a bit of reprogramming, you can make the system perform like a regular system.

I'd suggest a call to the Panasonic service company.

I'm using Panasonic KX-T7730. and Panasonic Advanced Hybrid System KX-TES824BX . Please help me.I need to make security lock for outgoing calls ...

In programming you can set up Forced account codes for Local, Toll, or All calls. The extension is flagged in program 605 or 2.1 of the system and the codes are put in 310 or 1.5. It's one of 2 ways you can do it, you can also change Class of Service on each phone to deny them access to certain numbers.

Keep in mind that this is programming for a TA-824 release 3.0. We know loop start CO lines and no ISDN or BRI. Your system may be different.

I have attached this cordless to KX-TA824 supporting 2 incoming lines. How can I select which line (CO 1 or CO 2) to call from?

If you start with intercom dial tone, press 81 or 82. If you dial 9 you'll get line 2 before line 1 in normal programming, and if you dial a line that's busy with 8x access codes, you'll get a busy, even if the other line is free.

Of course, you could also RTFM and program the system to function with your TA-824 http://public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TA-824/UG_TA_0823%5B1%5D.pdf
Starting on page 15 or so of the pdf, after you set up the keys, you'd press the > and 1 or 2 to get to lines 1 or 2 :-)

Hi, I own a KX-T7730 and caller id hasn't worked from day 1. Thank you

CID on a 7730 reqoires 3 things, CID service from the phone company, programming on the sytsem, and a CALLER ID CARD. The card can only be added to TA-624/824, TAW-848, TD-816/1232, and TDA/TDE/NCP sytsems and has a part number ending in 93.

If it never worked from "day 1", then I'm guessing you either didn't order the card, or you forgot to inform your installer that you wanted CID turned on. Only the 50g and TA-824 models came with CID in the U.S.

How to find previous call in phone no.?

Assuming you have Caller ID and an 824 system, you ought to look in the manual. You need to set up two buttons on the left side of the phone for CID-Indication and CID Selection (PROGRAM, Button, 96 and 97 STORE). We pick the top two buttons and store them in that order.

The small problem, is that you can't find BACK the numbers, but it will start recording the common numbers (last 300) from the time you do it until you get the 301'st call, then it will overwrite. (Chech your manual). Mine starts on page 158.

Note that these instructions are for a U.S. KX-TA824.

KX-T7730 - Used to have 3 incoming/outgoing lines. Have cut this down to 2(lines 1 and 3). Outgoing calls are automatically selected by line 3, 2, 1. When calling out the second person can't get an outside...

If you are using the KX-T7730 phone on a Panasonic KX-Txx 308 or 824 system.
From the Switchboard / Main telephone ( usually ext 101, 10 or 9 ) with the handset on the cradle/hook :
1. Press PROGRAM * # followed by the system password ( default is 1234).
2. Now press 400 and then SP-PHONE. Enter the line number you wish to change. ( In your case 2)
3. Press AUTO ANS / MUTE to change between Connect and Not Connect.
4. Press AUTO DIAL / STORE to save your changes.
5. Press PROGRAM to exit program mode and you are done.

I need to know how can i delete my voice messages, cause in the screen says my mail is full.

LOL! Now I know what you're talking about. You must have a Panasonic TA-824 system with BV (the built in voicemail system).

If you have a Features Manual, look at page 15. Here's a copy on my website http://public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TA-824/400_TA_FM_07-04.pdf

Dialing 725 will get you to the BV system. Someone has filled up the message box. All those calls you get after hours will fill up the common mailbox, so someone needs to clean that box out on a hourly or daily basis. Search the file for 725 and you'll get the table that gives you instructions. The Operating Manual (OM) has specific user instructions, starting with page 36. It involves a 725 2 sequence with 3 pause 3 erasing messages. Read the section carefully, because if you mess up you will erase ALL messages.

Here's the link to the OM if you don't have it. http://public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TA-824/200_TA_OM_07-04%5B1%5D.pdf

When you get to 5 minutes remaining in the BV system, you should have heard a funny dial tone. I'm not exactly sure if it would have been on all phones, or just the operator phone and the phone with a full mailbox. We have never installed one on a TA system in 5 years :-)

How do I change message played to incoming calls on a panasonic kx-t7730

Try finding out what's playing the message and change it :-)

It could be the DISA card from a TA-824, or it could be the Custom Greeting or Company message from a TVS or TVA voice mail system, or you could be talking about the "on hold" message that's plugged into the MOH port of the Panasonic system.

Once you find out, you can change a DISA message from the first extension 101 by following the programming, or from the Message Manager's mailbox (998) of the VM system, or the file recorded in the on-hold device.

We're trying to find the firmware upgrade for the Panasonic KX-TA824. Can you tell us where we can locate it?

It's not that super secret. If you register on the Panasonic web site, you can download it yourself. It's at www.btsdealer.com

IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE UNITED STATES IGNORE THE REST OF THIS!!!

I'm not sure, but I think you can go from v1 to v3 directly in a TA-824. Here's a link to my website for v3. http://www.public.carl.airpost.net/TA-824/ There are two pieces, the v3 tool and the v3 files. Download the file, save it somewhere you keep track of, then download the tool. Install and start the tool, the programmer code is INSTALLER, and click on HELP Help. Allow the ActiveX content and click on Program Utility, tab 8.1. These are the software upgrade instructions.

Just for safety, back up your data. In a nutshell, you run the upgrade, find the file, and the system will install the firmware, then convert your data. It's all automatic, but the end of the instructions will tell you what to do if something happens.

Let me know how it worked.

Carl
