If your router is set not to broadcast or has encryption enabled, you will first have to program the printer by software throught a USB cable, or at the panel on the printer. The printer manual should explain how.

If you need a copy of the manual or other support, it's at this link. Just select your exact printer model and operating system first.

SOURCE: Does HP LJ 3055 printer scan over the wireless network?

Scan over wireless network is not supported with this printer. You can try set it up and get scanner to work with usb and then change port from usb to HP standard TCP/IP for the device, but I don't think it will work.

How to connect hp officejet 4620 to my netgear cg814wg v2

First connect it via USB to a computer and set it up so it works over the cable.

Then re-install it to be wireless, putting in the router requirements.

Then under instructions unplug the router.

It should then be set up to run wirelessly.

I purchased mu HP Officeject 6500 Wireless within the past 12 months. I have had multiple instances where the printer stops scanning and sometimes stops printing. My tech guyhas fixed it 4-5 times and it...

Might be a problem with the router, or router location. Check the signal strength from the printer.
If your signal only has 1 or 2 bars, it could lose its connection very easily.

You should be able to move your modem and router, anywhere in the house, and it will not erase settings. Just have to have a strong cable signal going to the modem.

If the signal strength is not the problem, your router could be getting hot and cutting out. Or getting old and going bad. Try also resetting the router and reconfiguring it.

How do I set up a wireless printer. I am on a wireless network now. How do I make my printer wireless??

The HP Officejet 7310 has an optional bluetooth wireless adapter. If you purchased the option, you will need bluetooth connectivity at your computer end. Alternatively, you could purchase a third party wireless adapter.
Other than that, you will need to connect your printer to your router/wireless network then all computers will be able to print wirelessly to it through the router.
Hope this helps.

HP Officejet 6500 a plus won't print. Every time I press print, it says incorrect paper size. What is wrong?

This is one of the common connectivity issues marring the benefits of having a wireless printer. In this situation your printer will not print when connected wirelessly but would need you to set it up with your system using a USB cable. Try resetting the IP of your system to what is mentioned in the printer and in case there is a router connecting your printer and system then use the IP address of router and put it in your system. This should help you fix this printer issues.

I have a Linksys router since 7/09 but keep losing

LOSING WIRELESS CONNECTION ?
Make sure the latest wireless card driver is installed in the computer.
Locate the wireless router higher and away from concrete and brick walls, foil insulated walls.
Locate the wireless router away from cordless phones and microwave ovens these can cause interference.
You could be getting interference from other wireless access points or wireless routers in your area. Check the wireless broadcast channels in your area, and select one that is unused or one that has the weakest signal strength.
