I get a red light on the back panel labeled power. No green light. I don't think the PV 600 is working but when I run the channel check through my Pioneer THX receiver I hear sound. Any thoughts?

The PV600 and PV400 have auto-on circuitry that turns the subwoofer on when a signal is presented, and turns off if no signal is detected for 15 minutes.

Not knowing which Pioneer receiver you have I have dropped in the steps for No Sound from Subwoofer:

• Check that the subwoofer is connected properly, switched on and the volume turned up.

• If your subwoofer has a sleep function, make sure it is switched off.

• Make sure that the Subwoofer setting is YES or PLUS (see Speaker Setting on page xx).

• The crossover frequency may be set too low; try setting it higher to match the characteristics of your other speakers (see Speaker Setting on page xx)

• If there is very little low frequency information in the source material, change your speaker settings to Front: SMALL / Subwoofer: YES , or Front: LARGE / Subwoofer: PLUS (see Speaker Setting on page xx).

• Check that the LFE channel is not set to -80dB , or a very quiet setting (see Bass Peak Level

on page xx).

• Check the speaker level settings (see Channel Level on page xx).

Regarding the Large vs Small assignment of speakers, what they mean isn't so much the physical size but the ability to handle real bass. Large if Yes.

Pioneer pdp-505cmx both red and green lights stay on - no picture - any ideas?

After replacing the power supply board, it is necessary and a must to adjust its Va & Vs voltages. These details will be there on its panel label. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts. Without adjusting these voltages properly, might make the Plasma Display defective.

My peavey amp pv 2600 only plays on channel A. No output on the B side

Hello,

Check the "BRIDGE" switch position, "IN" for "BRIDGE", "OUT" for "STEREO", and clean ALL back switches with a cleaning spray and then run the amp again, also check the two green lights activation at front, if they activate, then amp is certainly working, let me know further.

Power Protection Light Will Not Switch Back to Green

Disconnect all speakers, then turn the amp on. If there is no internal problem with the amp, it will go green. If it does go green, reconnect your speakers one at a time with the amp off then turn it on. when you connect the speaker that's causing the problem, the amp will go into protection. At this point, it's one of two things, a bad speaker wire (screw thru it or touching another terminal) or a bad speaker(burnt voice coil) to test that wire, disconnect the wire at the speaker and turn on the amp, if it's still green, all's well in the wire department. Meter the speaker with a multimeter on resistance, if it's blown the meter will read 1.... If you don't have a meter, connect the speaker that's having the problem to the other channel and test again, if it goes into protection, you've got your answer. Bad speaker. Hope this helps

TLP2848Z blinking red, will not print

1: Is it a TLP2844 or a TLP2844Z.

Operationally they are completely different printers. TLP2844 uses ELP (Eltron Programming Language. but TLP2844Z uses ZPL (Zebra Programming Language). You need to calibrate the printer to the labels.

Calibration:
If its a TLP2844. Load media. Connect power.
Hold down feed key, power on, count one, two, release feed key. The printer will go through a calibtation routine and print config label. IMPORTANT - When it prints this label you must press the feed key and see the message OUT OF DUMP. Your printer will now be calibrated. Check this by hitting the feed key a few times and printer will feed one label each time feed is hit.

Calibration:
If its a TLP2844z.

Load media. Turn printer on and wait for green light (Approx 1 minute)
Press feed key and keep it pressed until green light blinks once, then twice, now release feed key.

Red light

something is shorted in the circuit, or your subs. unhook the subs first and try it again, if it is still in protect then it is most likely the output transistors.
