You might try the Samsung code which is 12, I believe, for the Coby! They are the makers on Samsung TV components...

NEED A OWNER MANUAL

Although I've never worked with Coby, I've downloaded manuals for JVC products on-line at no charge right through the JVC website. Good luck!

Whenplaying a DVD, all buttons on the unit and the remote work fine until you get to the point on the DVD where it is time to press OK to actually play the movie the all buttons give you an "INVALID...

Hello
It is not he problem with your Coby's TV section. It is due to the fault in the DVD section. You just reset your Coby set to factory settings according to it user manual.

Just unplug your tv from AC mains wall socket and left it in that state for about one hour will reset it automatically. OK.

How do i get my JVC remote to get video to run in LP instead of SP when manually recording?

Usually you can change from SP to LP by pressing the record botton again. It works with some brands & models but not all. You will need to specify the JVC model # for exact instructions.

I recorded a video using sony hd100n in dv format, when i capture it using jvc minidv camcorder(jvc GR-DVL820u) the the capturing is not good specialy the audio.what is the posible solution?

May be you recorded it on LP, LP recording are sensitive to interchangeability issues or it could beyour JVC's LP heads are weak. If you have an idea on how to adjust pole base, try to adjust supply side on your JVC(left side pole base) while playing and observe the sound while adjusting it. Be careful not to touch parts at the sorroundings, pay a lot of attention while doing this. If you do not have background in this field, let the pro do the job. Good luck

Recording from VHS to DVD

First, you will need to know if the program was recorded in XP mode, SP mode, LP mode, or EP mode. To find out how much room there is left, put the dvd in the tray and press the Disc Menu/List button on the JVC remote. This will display the title and how long it is - write that number down. It will also say either "XP,SP, LP, or EP" - write down that mode. In XP mode, a DVD will hold 1 hr and 20 mins worth of prgramming - MAXIMUM. SP mode = 2 hours. LP mode = 4 hours. EP = 6 hours. So, if your program is one hour, and you recorded in LP mode, you have 4 - 1 = 3 hours of space left for recording on that disc.

If you finalize a disc, you will no longer be able to add more programs to that disc, unless the disc is a + or - RW disc. Also note that finalization requires some disc space, so if you recorded a program that is exactly 1hr and 20 mins long, and you recorded it in XP mode, then the disc will probably not finalize correctly.

That being said, the finalization directions are on p. 23 of your manaul: Title --> Finalize --> => --> find finalize --> Enter --> OK --> Enter

Now it will play on other players.
