sc998 is either a problem with an application, or the firmware that controls that application. If you have a service technician come out and update your firmware, it will most likely fix the problem.
check the side brackets in the casete to make sure they are snug against the paper. or you may need to clean or replace the paper feed roller and seperation pad in the casete. or you may need the transport rolles cleand.
If you cycle power does it try to feed then "jam"? This would be a misfeed, if "the internal parts are shot" could this be the ITB belt got damaged? All the main components of this model are supplies so repair isnt impossible. -Carl
