Carefully, while holding the silver metal motor in place, gently pull the rotor off of the rear drive shaft. Place new one on and push it gently into place. If it is loose, you can secure it with a VERY CAREFULLY applied mini-drop of super glue. Turn helicopter upside down and use as little glue as possible, keep it away from where the shaft meets the motor, and keep upside down until glue dries fully.

Hope this helps,
PvT

How could i use my iphone 4g to control my toy helicopter

Instructions
    • 1 Remove the main rotor blades, throttle up the helicopter while holding it in your hand and twist the helicopter from side to side to determine if the gyro is working. The gyro should make the tail rotor spin faster when the helicopter twists; you will be able to hear a difference. If the gyro does not appear to be working, replace it. Some gyros have a sensitivity adjustment screw; try making small adjustments if possible.
    • 2 Check the tail rotors and see if they are connected correctly. If the tail rotor blades are not pitched correctly they will not be able to hold the helicopter still.
    • 3 Test the tail rotor motor and see if it seems strong and responsive. Brushed motors, like those commonly used to drive tail rotors, can wear out in a relatively short time. Replacing the motor may solve your problem if the gyro seems to be working.
    • 4 Check the trim on your transmitter. Ideally the trim should be in the center of the stick movement. You may need to dial in some extra right trim or you may find the trim is set too far to the left.

How to assemble a front wheel bearing on a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4

The front wheel bearing is a hub and bearing assembly. To remove you will.... 1. Remove the tire 2. Remove the axle nut. You can put a punch in the fins of the rotor to keep the assembly from turning while you rmove the nut. You can can do the same thing when you torque the axle nut. 3. Remove the caliper and rotor. 4. Unplug the abs sensor if equipped. 5. Remove the three bolts that hold the hub to the knuckle. 6. Rmove the hub. If you need torque specs let me know and i'll get them for you. It is absolutely critical that you torque the axle nut to the proper spec!

Just purchased new Skyline indoor r/c helicopter. after charging for first time ,turned unit on ,main rotors function properly ,but tail rotor is dead. Did i miss something or is this defective. No tail...

If this model r/c helicopter has two counter rotating main rotors then it does not need a tail rotor.
Tail rotors are used to counter the torque rotation of a single main rotor r/c helicopter.

Spinning no matter what i do

Issue: Heli spins to the Left (counterclockwise) uncontrollably.
Problem: Tail rotor not turning fast enough, Dragging.
Background: My son's Heli Cage also started spinning to the left after he had flown it a couple 3 times. The trim and direction stick could not compensate. One time, the tail rotor came off during a crash. It was put back on and ran fine a couple more times until the dreaded left spin. I began to troubleshoot the issue. I checked for damage, hair and whatever else on the shaft. There was no obvious signs. When I pulled the tail rotor off, I noticed that it came off very easily. I put a new one on it and problem solved.
Diagnosis: the tail rotor shaft was spinning inside the rotor. This prevented the tail rotor from turning the correct speed.
Corrective Measures: replace rotor with new one. Avoid hitting the rotor while it is spinning...good luck! :-)

Tail rotar

Yes - it matters for any heli.

The main rotor creates drag which makes the heli want to spin - the tail rotor pulls the heli in the opposite direction to compensate and keep it steady.

Look at the angle of the main rotor in regard to the direction it turns - you'll see how it 'pulls' upward. The tail rotor will need to 'pull' sideways, according to whichever direction the tail rotor is spinning.

I'm assuming you're reattaching a tail rotor or rewiring a motor?
