We bought this product years ago and we went to use it a few days ago and upon pushing the on button it would not make a sound or a move. We're assuming the motor is out but not sure. And if so don't know if it can be fixed or where to find a part. Please let us kno wif you can help with any of these questions. Tks!

A small piece of cabbage should not stop this machine. If it did stop, look for the red reset button on the bottom of the juicer. I've been using mine for 21 years and occasionally it will stop when run for an extended period especially if vibration is present. In each case I waited a few minutes and pushed in the reset button.
this has happened to me, but i didn't have all the parts on correctly. if the 'case' is not put back on properly and the little nib flush it will not start. it should look exactly like your picture. sounds odd that there would be a problem. i have 3 of them LOVE THEM, (and i have other juicers as well) that we use as a family. I would NOT trade any of them I love them that much. In fact the one my parents bought 33 years ago I still have and it still works ;-) Don't give up, it's an excellent juicer!
4 SCREWS HOLD THE BASE PLATE. REMOVE IT AND HAVE A LOOK. THE WIRING IS PRETTY SIMPLE. THIS THING IS REALLY BUILT, SO IT MIGHT BE SIMPLE LIKE YOU SAID. MINE IS 19 YEARS OLD AND I HAVE PARTS FOR ANOTHER 19.
REMOVE THE 4 BOTTOM SCREWS AND TRY IT AGAIN. YOU CAN SEE THE SEAM AROUND THE JUICER WHERE IT SEPARATES. YOU CAN GET THE SWITCH FROM WARING AT 800 492 7464. MINE IS FROM 1990 AND RUNS LIKE NEW. DO ALL MY OWN REPAIRS.
I am sorry I might not be able to explain in English very well, but I hope it will help somebody. In my case, the pulp container was a problem. when you take out the container, do you see the little(very very small )hole that if you push with something like toothpic it makes sound like "click, click"? I guess when we put the pulp container back, the container is supposed to push the safety button ( bottom area), but I think the part of the container that push the button was broken, and it didn't start,so I just put something small inside the hole before I put the container back to the juicer, so it covers the missing part. Their customer service doesn't help at all, I waited 1h to talk to somebody, and he couldn't help me. so please check that part.
You have one or two choices. You have every right to return to product to the store you purchase it within 30 days with a receipt. Now if you feel you want to keep it try to place the gasket on right. This should stop the leaking. If you did not get a gasket, then return this product for another one.
