Audio repeats and game freezes - God of War III

go into the bios of your machine and turn off the keyboard
repeat function, it may be that the keyboard is faulty or is too sensitive, either way this should cure the issue

Make sure disc are clean,,of dirt and smudge,,fingerprints,,thats usally the cause,,,and reset ps3,,,hold down power button till cutts off ,,repeat,,holding till u hear a beep,,keep hold,,,next,,2 beeps,,realease quickly,,connect usb on controller,,,do number 2 option,,should help,,update also,,,and clean and blow out ps3 of dust,,,use a disc cleaner,,good luck

Please try using another game cartridge and if the fault repeats by hanging/freezing then it is possible that the processor has errors . If not the game that freezes could have a corrupt software and must not be used. Try resetting , remove battery and try as a last resort.

My $500 80gig (old model, four ports and backwards compatibility) PlayStation 3 turns on, but doesn't show any audio and video. One day I was on the menu screen and all of a sudden the screen froze but the audio was still OK. After that I turned it off and then turn it back on, but i wasn't getting any video and now audio. I tried AV, component and HDMI cable, but still doesn't work. However, after an hour of keeping the system turned off, the game works back to normal condition, but soon it repeats the same problem of the screen freezing. WTF! I already know the holding-the-power button technique, but i still get nothing. HELP!

This has happened to me before after migrating from saphire. All i did was wait about an hour and try again. Repeat trying if it continues to freeze. :)

maybe you should try different games? see if those different games freeze, if so, then it might be your blu-ray player in your ps3, or your ps3 might be overheating. my games froze at certain points because my ps3 was overheating, just try a few different games

Have you reinstalled the specific games you are playing? If not, try that. If that does not work, write back.

When this "freeze" occurs, turn off the DS system and remove and re-insert the game cartridge several times. Turn the system back on and the game should appear. If not, repeat this procedure.
