Can a 3/4 horsepower jet pump be operated at a 40/60 psi configuration?

Yes. First raise your tank pressure to 38 psi, then raise your cut-in pressure on the press switch to 40 psi. Don't forget to adjust the cut-off up to 60 psi. There is a schrader valve(tire valve) on the top of your tank where you can fill it and measure the press with a tire gauge. CHANGE TANK PRESS FIRST.

How do you adjust the seat on a Trek Jet 20?

Should be much the same as with any bike. Loosen the bolt (probably metric allen wrench head) that is on the clamp at the top of the seat post, raise or lower the seat, and then retighten. If you want to move the saddle forward or back or tilt it differently you loosen the nut or nuts on either side of the saddle, move as desired, and then retighten.

Idle adj screw vibrates out and the idle speed is high.

Hi Charles Gregory.

When you clean your carburetor and remove the jet screws, you will first need to lightly seat the jet screws.
But before you lightly seat the jet screws count the number of turns it takes to seat the jet screws from their original position.
Be sure to mark the turns down on a piece of paper.
That way when you put the jets back in, you know to lightly seat them first and then turn them back out to their original position before you started.
Make sure your spring that goes on the idle screw is in place.
You can also use some "locktite" thread locking compound on the threads of the needle if the spring is missing.
Normally you will adjust your idle jet to 1/2-3/4 turn open from the bottom seated position.
Then you will re-adjust the low speed of the engine when the engine is warm by turning the idle screw in or out till the engine runs smoothly at idle speed, around 1200 RPM.
The high speed jet is adjusted to 1 1/2- 1 3/4 open from the bottom seated position, after the engine is warm.
Then re-adjusted by turning the High Speed jet adjustment screw in or out till the motor runs smoothly at high speed.
Alway use the "lightly seated" method if you have not changed the screw settings.

2004 BMW 530i how to replace fuel filter

The fuel filter is serviced only as part of the left fuel level sensor assembly in the fuel tank

1. Remove rear seat bench

2. Fold carpet forwards

3. Fold back rubber mat

4. Remove the nuts and fold back metal cover

5. Disconnect electrical connector

6. Release and disconnect fuel feed and return lines

CAUTION: The fuel gauge must roughly indicate zero before the left tank opening is opened. Large quantities of fuel may emerge upon opening. If necessary, keep the left tank opening closed and feed an extraction hose through the right service opening to the left tank half and drain the fuel out of the left tank area before proceeding.

7. Release the screw cap

8. Carefully raise fuel level sensor until sensor flange emerges.

CAUTION: Risk of breakage! When raising sensor unit, do not pull excessively on connecting piece of fuel return line.

9. Disconnect line to fuel filter

10. Disconnect suction jet pump from fuel filter (Press catch downwards to detatch suction jet pump)

11. Remove left sensor unit from the tank.

12. Reverse order to install

Adjusting your seat height ....
1) Locate your Lock Tab ,this will be located under the front of your seat.
2) Flip the Tab of your lock tab, this will unlock your seat and make it feel rocky
3) Lift your seat off the bottom part of your Jet3, set the seat right next to your Jet3
4) Locate the four seat Post, two in the front two in the back. These post will have at least five holes, the holes are your adjustment
5) Locate the four Pins, two in the front two in the back. These pins are in one of the five holes on the seat posts.
Now that we know where everything is .....
6) Pull the two front pins located on the front seat post, putting the pins in a bottom hole will raise the font of the seat ,putting the pins in the top holes will lower the font of the seat."the same goes for the rear of the seat''.
Adjust your seat accordingly....
be sure everything lines up when putting your seat back on ,also before driving make sure your seat is locked .. Happy Riding..

My bike has been sitting for a year and I put fresh fuel and oil in it but I can't get it to start without starting fluid, I'm trying to check the carb float for gunk or something but I can't figure out...

the fuel inthe carby will have gone off and blocked the pilot jet. you will need to remove carb and clean out. to do this you need to remove seat, tank, raise the rear sub frame so you can get out carb. once carb removed you will need to clean out needle valve, main & pilot jet, may even need to put fine wire through pilot jet to clear blocked jet. reassemble and bike should run,I do a 4 a week with this problem.

My speed indicator lights are constintly flashing- the chair works fine though

You don't say what sort of chair you have, but if it has tilt or power seating system, the speed lights flashing could be a power-limiting warning, which means you have the seat tilted or raised too high for full power so it is limited to going slow. Lower seat and then try to drive it an normal speed. If the seat isn't tilted or raised and lights are flashing, then the switch on the chair that senses the height or the tile is probably faulty and would require replacement. Do NOT disable or bypass the switch as it is a safety device to prevent unsafe operation.
