We have a Zebra 105SL (300dpi) Thermal Label printer and have been experience problems when printing to it from a Crystal Report. On the first run, the labels will print, but incorrectly. The header of the second label due is printed on the bottom of the first label, and the header of the third on the bottom of the second label etc... But no label body is ever printed. However, this problem does not occur if we do a re-print on each label. The correct label will print correctly and in the correct format. But you can imagine that this is time consuming, not to mention inconvenient! We have counteracted this by ceasing the print of the first print and only doing re-prints but this can only be a temporary solution. We use Zebra Universal Print on a Windows XP PC (SP2), but have also tried NICE, SEAGULL and many others. Please somebody help!!!

SOURCE: Zebra 105 SE Printing Blank Labels

Seagull Scientific has drivers. Their Zebra driver is recommended by many.
http://www.seagullscientific.com/aspx/drvrmain.aspx

That's the link for their printer drivers page. Go to the bottom and click on 'Download a printer driver'. Then scroll the list to find the one you need.

How many labels has the printer printed? Because it sounds to me like you just need to replace the print head.

They are around $400 from whomever your supplier is, and very easy to replace.

SOURCE: How to check the MAC address of Zebra 105SL Printer

go to the configuration on the printer. Scroll through until you reach the network settings. You can display or print the results, which will show the MAC address. Also, if you have a PC on the same network, and you know the IP of the printer, you can look at your ARP tables and find the MAC associated with the IP. ARP -a at the dos prompt

SOURCE: Zebra 105SL print only half of label

This can happen if your page size in your driver is not set to the actual label size. It can happen if you have old .dll driver files mixed with your mew driver installation.

This is what I would do:
Uninstall the driver completely - delete the icon in Printers and Faxes. Drop down the file menu there and choose server properties and remove the driver for all Zebra printers from the Drivers tab. Go into the LCD menu of the printer and load defaults. Go back into the LCD meny and look at the page width setting. Your printer has 300 dots per inch, so a 4 inch label would be 1200 dots wide.

Another thing to consider is that you may be trying to printer to a 300 dpi printer from a 203 dpi driver. Make sure that you choose 300dpi when you reinstall. This should work.... If not, repost with more details about your application and driver. I can assure you that this is not a printer problem unless half of your printhead has failed.... unlikely, but possible....

We have a Zebra 105SL thermal printer. When I print to it with any application, the data light comes on, but it doesn't print. It has ribbon, media, calibrated, no error lights

The data light indicates that the printer is receiving data. Hold the cancel key for 10 seconds while powering on. This will print printer configuration. Use to troubleshoot. If the data or format is wrong it will not print as you send data. Make sure you are using the 105SL printer driver. To test the printer functionality you can go to www.teklynx.com and download a demo copy of labelveiw, select the 105SL printer and try to print a simple label. If you can print with labelveiw then it is not a printer problem. Double check your driver and label format.

Zebra 105sl - printer does not print correct size

This can happen if you have the wrong dpi setup. For instance the 105sl can be either 203dpi or 300dpi. If your printhead is 300dpi and the label you create is expecting 203dpi, then you will see shrunken label. Your situation doesn't exactly sound like this is the case but it may be worth checking.

Zebra 105 SE Printing Blank Labels

You need the correct driver for the 105Se. The 300 dpi SL driver is not compatible.

Unfortunately, Zebra does not make it's older drivers available online. You will need to locacte someone with the correct driver for whichever version of Windows you are using.
