I have a Zio Corporation Dazzle* Hi-Speed USB 2.0 reader but the software I have will only work on Window XP and I now have Windows 8.1. How do I get new software to load on to my new Laptop?

You need a driver. The producer of your reader, needs to offer Microsoft a good driver, and only then he gets a certificate for Windows 7 and up. Most manufactures don't make drivers for devices they already sold. They only put time in developing drivers for new stuff they can sell.
Unless you can fine an universal driver for your reader, you won't be able use it anymore. Nobody told you, you not only had to update your windows, but you also need to buy new hardware. I already found out a few years ago when I went to Windows 7.

Hello,

Are you sure that you have installed the correct driver? Try going to the website of your computer's manufacturer and get the driver from there.

I have 3D Customizing and the newer reader/writer. The dongle works. The reader/writer is not found is what Customizing says. I have Windows 7 - any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

3D will not run properly on a Windows 7 computer. The USB reader/writer will work fine with 5D software.
Trust me, I have tried extensively to get 3D to run on Windows 7. I ran it on Vista, for a while. Then an update to Windows ended that. I've never had it function normally on Windows 7.

The digital card slot on my laptop doesn't seem to

Hi ionevike...
1...Reinstall your drivers, that should solve the problem, sometimes the drivers get corrupted.
2...Purchase a card reader like found at the following webpage(They can be found at other sites also, and in other places.)
It is eaiser to use because you will insert your card into the reader and plug the usb into a vacant usb port on your computer..it will ope a window...choose to "view the files"...when you make that choice, another window will open and show your pictures...highlight them and drag and drop them to your file/folder of your choice.

Hello, I've looked around on the website and there doesn't seem to be a driver for this device to work on Windows 7. It doesn't support this operating system, sorry.
You can either downgrade to Windows XP or get a new barcode scanner.

Hello,

I have got two possible problems in my mind. One is that your laptop does not meet optimal cirteria for using Windows 7. Especially if you keep original 2GB RAM. But I do not thing this would cause problems as you described.

The second one, as you mentiond, you need to update the drivers too. From the Sony's point of view, they do not support Win 7 in this laptop, so they do not provide any drivers.

Canoscan Lide 30 compatibility with Windows 7.

There are no official drivers for CanoScan Lide 30 for Windows XP, so your problem is obvious. I suggest you sending an e-mail at Canon including details about your scanner (date purchased, serial number in text form or scanned) asking them to develop driver set as this model is very trade and at shops since 2006 or 2007.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post.
