Door will not open

Uhhhh. ummmmm... uhh. i'm assuming (from the broken english sentence with no info) that you mean the CD/DVD drive door. There is a little hole on that drive ((on the front part)) that a paperclip fits prefect. Put that in there and push hard. It will force the CD door open enuff for you to pull it open so you can take out or put in another CD/DVD. If that continues, buy a new CD palyer from Amazon or Ebay. they are very inexpensive, and those Cd/DVD drives do go out as one of the first things so its no big deal. Hope this helped you.

Will read cd but doesn't play dvd

Hard drives are used for storing files or loading applications. A CD-Rom drive is what you need to read cd's and a DVD-Rom drive which can read both. You cant place a cd, dvd or blu-ray disc into a hardrive because it is enclose and does not have and open/close button for the tray to eject or close

I can't play movies on my IBM 2002 Laptop computer. The message 'can't open dvdsimple://D:' keeps coming up.

Hi there !

If you are playing DVD on DVDROM drive, I believe the DVD you are using is damaged because improper copying or burning it might cause damage to DVD. or it does not burn good at all. Or the DVD you are using from the beginning is damaged.

Another is if the DVD have too much scratches that it is difficult for the DVDROM drive to read it. It i will pop up an error reading the DVD.

If you are using windows media player (Not using DVD or CD), I believe the movie you are playing does not support the codec in the media palyer you are using. Try to download VLC player and it is free to download thru websearch.

I hope it solves your problem

I am not able to play my movies recorded dvd but cd is working well, help me,,

Insert a DVD movie.
Open "My Computer".
Right-mouse click on the icon for your CD/DVD drive, and click "Explore".
If the hardware is working correctly, you should see a list of files & folders.

Search online for the free 'VLC' software for playing DVD-movies. Download it, and install it, to "play" your DVD-movie.

Wont open or play disc

To open it, look on the bezel for a small hole, straighten out a paper clip and push it into the hole, this is the fail safe opening procedure on disk drives.

With luck, once opened and closed properly with a CD/DVD in, it will play properly. If not, try using a CD head cleaning disk.

Cd tray opening and closing all the time

Dear friend, my sony dvd drive tray opens and closes itself, it is mostly a problem related to hardware. in my case I removed the IDE Data cable connected to the dvd drive and reconnected it again. now my dvd drive works well, I think the problem was the IDE data cable, may be a loose contact.due to this loose cantact,a jung signal goes to the dvd drive, which opens and closes the tray frequently without our knowledge.
