You can run the Windows XP mode, and run apps under Windows XP mode. Probably your device is not 100 percent compatible with Windows 7, and or it does not have a proper drivers (and the device manufacturer does not provide Windows 7 drivers).

anyway i try to explain you general way.
first a internal tv card have two sound conectors, one in one out.
you must take with apropriate cable sound from output conector in your tv tuner card and the other extreme put it in line in (blue) conector in your Mb system sound card(there are last three one green one red and one blue ). now you have maket this go to program that control sound card and choose the right entry for you line in (blue conector). after that if sound isnt comming you must go to the tv settings to put the right output for your sound, and specify even is in rear or front side (in your case in rear side).prove this steps and write me back again is that helpful, or part of it so i can help you again from point you failed .
