Sounds like fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
I doubt it's the color wheel. When our wheel went bad the TV didn't come on at all. It could be the lamp. Try reseating it first. That fixed a problem the first time for us. Later we had to replace the lamp because the TV was getting dark. It could also be your ballast, but we've never had to change that. I'd start with the lamp.
Contact the authorized service center for Samsung. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
I have had issues where the digital board and also the analog board have been known to cause weird symptoms like that. Did the picture ever freeze any time before this isuue appear?
Did you replace the lamp? Was the Lamp original? Some time if you dont replace the lamp with original you are going to have this issue. Is there any sound. If you have sound and no picture is the Color Wheel.
If you found a bloated capacitor on the circuit board, that one needs to be replaced not the board. You can see the part number on the capacitor itself. Also please look for any burned IC and neighboring components. If you found additional burned components, it also need to be replace. Contact a pro tv technician to replace it.
you need to see if the lens where the light comes out is scratched.. if it is then the picture will never be right until you replace it..as for a cheap replacement mirror the picture might be watchable if it is a good quality mirror
