For some reason, my PS3/Apple Airport Express system decided not to work a couple of days ago, and the PS3 no longer gets a stable internet connection. I have an Apple Airport Express which is set to join (wirelessly) a network set up by the Airport Extreme I have upstairs. The PS3 is wired to the Express. One day I started getting errors when I attempted to play games online (the 80710102 DNS errors). I noticed that the light on the Express switches repeatedly between green and yellow on the Airport Express. I tried resetting the Express to factory settings and setting it back up, manually setting up the PS3's internet with an IP address of 10.0.1.20, a subnet mask of 255.255.255, a default router of 10.0.1.1, and a primary DNS of 10.0.1.1, with no secondary DNS. The PS3 is able to obtain an IP address, but the test shows that either the internet connection or the Playstation network connection fails every time. I wired a computer to the Express and the internet worked just fine. Help please?

SOURCE: apple extreme bridged to apple extreme (Windows network)

Using a wired connection:Using the Airport Utility, set up the extreme wireless with the same network name, security and password as the 2Wire but use a different channel. On the Internet Tab, change Share a Public IP address to OFF Bridge Mode. Click on Update Button.
Using a wireless connection: You will need 2 Apple devices, at least 1 Extreme and the second can be either an Extreme or Express. Replace the 2Wire with the extreme and using Airport Utility, set to "Allow this Network to be Extended". Set the second to "Extend a wireless network".

How to change the password on Apple airport express ?

Unplug the AirPort Express from the power outlet and press and hold the reset button. While still holding down the reset button, plug the device into a power outlet. Hold down the reset button until you see the light flash green four times. Let go of the button and the device will reset itself. Wait the requisite 45 seconds and configure it with the AirPort Express Assistant or AirPort Admin Utility.
This performs a factory reset.

Not able to connect to internet via airport express

Have you checked your system preferences, network settings? You have to tell the mac to use airport or ethernet. It may be setup to use the hard wire and not airport. You should see a link to turn on airport in the upper right corner of your screen. I think you can turn airport on there.

I can't connect apple airport expresses with a siemens 587 route

Login to your airport express using Apple's airport utilities (either in it's current configuration or after resetting it).

Using the airport utility do not choose manual setup, just select continue.

Adjust (as required) the airport express station name and password and select continue.

Select "I have a wireless network and I want to add AirPort Express or replace an existing device on my network and select continue.

Select I want Airport Express to wireless join my current network and select continue.

Choose if you want to extent the rance of your network or just join the network and select continue.

Choose the network you wish to join... etc etc etc....

You should be fine.

Apple Airport Express not working

You need to use the AirPort utility, which will walk through the setup and configuration of it. You were already on the right track to get it going. If it mentions there is an update available for it, though, do the update first.

Vista compatibility

Vista has very little drivers for equipment sad but true. However in your case you can use Airport Extream. However here is what an apple tech had to say: If you are a Vista user and you don't have access to a Mac, you will not be able to get this working. Apple hasn't yet stirred itself to release a version of Airport Express Assistant that works with Windows Vista - you can't set it up via Windows' own networking software and nor does the Airport Admin Utility work under Vista. It installs and you can run it, but it returns error messages if you try and connect to the Airport Express. I had to use a Mac to get it working, though once it's set up as a client to your existing wireless network, you can stream from iTunes on a Vista PC to the Airport Express. The documentation is very poor, too, with this: I had to do extensive Googling first to track down the fact that I couldn't set it up with Vista and second to identify the device's IP address and default password. Having said that, it is a breeze to set up via a Mac and works like a dream witih Vista once it's up and running. But don't bother if you have Vista until Apple updates the software.
