I have connected the HDMI cable from the home theatre system into my TV but when I select to receive the Home theatre System signal (HDMI) on my TV it does not show the SONY Screen (It flashes as if it is almost getting the signal but it is not strong enough) if I plug the video out (Yellow Wire) into my Television it works withouth issue, but this defies the object of buying a home theatre with HD capability. Hi,
Change/ reduce HDMI resolution in DAV-DZ810 so your tv can get proper video signal because it seems DAV-DZ810 is set on bit higher picture resolution and tv is unable to present that picture.
Thanks.

How do I make my TV play in Telefunken 5.1 Home Theatre THT-6000HDMIA speakers?

Does the TV and system have either a coaxil or optical sockets? If it does then I would connect them by one of these. That should trigger the sound. However it might work via the HDMI if you have selected the system to pass digital signals via that connection.

Hi how do I get surround sound coming from my tv

A Samsung home theatre system can make watching movies at home like going to the theater. Proper setup is essential to get the full benefit of the Samsung system, which is available in 5.1 and 7.1 channel surround sound configurations.
Typically the final step in setting up any home theater is connecting your TV to your system.
Like most home theatre systems, your Samsung home theater receiver will allow you to plug all of your components into it, meaning you only have to run a few cables to connect your television to your system.
Make sure your playback devices are properly connected to your receiver.
Whatever playback devices you use, make sure they are plugged into the appropriate inputs on your receiver.
DVD and Blu-ray players, satellite boxes and cable boxes should all be plugged into video inputs, and CD players should be plugged into audio inputs.
Your receiver will have labels on the back panel indicating into which input you should plug your devices.

Connect the video out to your TV's video input. Make sure you use the correct cable to make the connection. For newer receivers, the connection will likely be either HDMI or component.
If your receiver has an HDMI output, use an HDMI cable to connect the receiver to the HDMI input on your TV.
If your receiver uses a component output, use a component cable to connect your receiver to the component input on your TV.

Connect the audio output of your TV to one of the audio inputs on your Samsung receiver if you want to output your television's audio through your home theatre system.
Most recent TVs will either use an optical cable or a digital coaxial cable to connect to the receiver, allowing you 5.1 channel surround from your television.
If you have an older set, you will likely have to use standard RCA cables.

Turn on your receiver and press the "Setup/Menu" button on your receiver's remote.
When "Input" appears on the display, press the right arrow key on your remote to select TV from the list.

After selecting TV, press the up or down arrow keys on your remote to select the audio input jack into which you have plugged your TV's audio cable.
Press the "Exit" button on your remote to exit the setup menu and lock in the settings.

If you're not an electronics junkie, hooking up your surround sound can seem daunting.
There are so many wires and settings that it's understandable why some people might rather pay someone else to do it for them.
But you can do it yourself as long as you make sure the speakers are positioned correctly; the wires are not only plugged in all the way, but plugged into the right places; and the settings on your television and amplifier are set up correctly.

Check to make sure your surround-sound speakers are correctly installed.
Locate the test function on your surround-sound remote control or amplifier panel to do this.
You will know your speakers are hooked up if sound comes out of each speaker during the test.
Make sure your audio cables are hooked up properly.
Make sure the audio cables running from your television to your amplifier are plugged in correctly. The red and white wires should be plugged into the "Audio Out" spot on the back of your television.
Those same red and white audio wires should be plugged into one of the "Audio Input" spaces on the back of your amplifier.

Turn on your television.
Locate the "Menu" button on either your television remote or your television set.
Scroll through your options until you find "Audio Mode" or a similar naming convention.
Select it.
Scroll through your options until you find "Digital Audio Out," or a similar naming convention. Choose it.
Scroll through your options until you find "Dolby Digital Out." Select that option.
Power your surround-sound system on.
Make sure you have the correct audio input selected.
After the correct audio input is selected, make sure you actually have the Dolby Digital aspect of your surround sound system turned on.
The default for most surround-sound systems is the standard two-channel, stereo output.

I have an RCA home theatre...model rt2910. I have hooked my PS3 via HDMI to the TV for the video and used an optical cable for the audio. I set the PS3 to send video via HDMI and audio via optical cable....

You should have the HDMI plugged into the Home theater unit. The theater unit then is attached to the TV using the HDMI out.
The home theater unit passes the HDMI through to the TV while playing the audio for you.
You will likely need to select the correct source on your RT2910.
Here is a link to the manual.

See the section entitled "Connecting to HDMI Components" for an illustration of what I have described above.

Connect home theatre to 32" lcd to ps3

Depending on the year of your model of VIZIO your digital optical output may be tied to the DTV input only. Meaning the only time you will have audio coming out of the digital optical output is when your using the tuner and your on a digital channel. If your television is newer and the digital optical output is in white on the back of the television than it is tied to HDMI and the DTV Tuner and you will pass audio through the digital optical output when using HDMI or the Digital Tuner.

Now to get connect the HT: Normally you would run a digital optical cable from the source device to the home theatre system. Meaning if it was a PS3 you would run a optical cable from the Digital Out on the back of the PS3 to the Digital In on the Home Theatre receiver. If it was a DVD player than you would run the optical cable from the DVD player to the HT receiver. If you have a newer VIZIO and the optical output is in white and not black than you can run HDMI from the PS3 to the VIZIO and then run a optical cable from the VIZIO to the Home theater receiver.

You will have to adjust the audio setting in the PS3 to run audio out of the HDMI port if it is set to run audio out of the Digital Out or AV out. Also, if your going to run audio from the PS3 to the HT receiver through the Digital Out then you need to change the audio setting in the PS3 to Digital Out.

1. Select (Sound Settings) under (Settings) in the home menu.
2. Select [Audio Output Settings].
3. Select the input connector on the audio device.

Channel numbers and audio formats that are supported vary depending on the connector in use. AV is 2 ch. only, Digital Out is 2 ch. & 5.1 ch, and HDMI is upto 7.1.

How do i connect my tv and my hd cable box to the home theatre system so that the audio is heard thru the theatre system?

The best way to do this is to run all hdmi cables from the source to the receiver (i.e. from the cable box to the receiver). Then run a single hdmi cable from the "out to tv" or "video/audio" out jack on the receiver to the television. Turn the tv on and select the input you put the hdmi cable in, then on the receiver select whatever you want to watch, i.e. cable.

Please help with getting 5.1 sound from my TV!

You must run a Digital Optical cable from your PS3 to your reciever. Then press your function button on your recievers remote until you see SAT/CABLE on your recievers display. Next go to your PS3 settings and go to Sound settings, then Audio Output settings, and select Digital out (OPTICAL) then your done. This is the only way to get true digital sound from your PS3 to your reciever.
