There are a few of these Jacuzzi Rainbow faucets that have caps that screw into place and cannot be popped off. They will be identified by color washers to indicate water temperature. They are easily removed by rotating the top cap. They cannot be pried off.

On the top of each handle you will need a very small flat head screwdriver or something similar to "pop" the top cap off. Under that cap there is a phillips head screw so you can remove the handle.

Spray with lubricant and let it work - you may have to spray more than
once - main thing is do not strip the screw head....try a long handled

How do you internally adjust the hot water setting of a Symmons pressure balancing mixing valve?

  • To set the shower valve handle limit stop, remove the screw holding on to the handle and remove the handle.
  • Remove the round dome cover by turning in a counter-clockwise direction. At this point you will see a small slotted screw head that is visible in the valve cap.
  • Place the handle back on the valve stem (loosely) and open the valve turning the handle until the maximum desired position is reached. This may require turning the limit stop screw (T-34) counter-clockwise (see CAUTION above). To most accurately and safely verify the temperature of the hot water, place a thermometer in a tumbler of water filled from tub outlet.
  • Shut off valve and re-attach dome and handle.

Need to know how to remove the handles on my Jacuzzi waterfall

There is a cap on the top of square knobs that you have to pry off with a tiny thin blade. Under that cap is a screw that will allow you to remove the knob.

HELLO THE FAUCET DRIPS AT THE HANDLE AND THE HOT AND COLD SEEM REVERSED

On this valve the hot/cold in reverse is easy enough to fix, but the faucet dripping at the handle is another issue. To reverse the hot and cold, turn off the house water, relieve the pressure by opening a nearby faucet. Once the water stops, remove the handle and faucet cover so you can see the valve. then the four screws that are visible need to be removed. Mark one of the screw holes with a crayon or pencil and then remove by pulling straight out. Once out, inspect the main o-ring right behind where it sits against the valve, (if this is damaged, it might be why the handle area is leaking) then turn the whole assembly clockwise 180 degrees then insert straight back in and insert screws. Tighten screws until snug. Turn water back on before installing cover and handle to check for leaks. If no leaks are found, install cover and handle and check for proper position of hot and cold. If there are leaks, tighten screws in clockwise rotation tightening each screw a quarter turn, then moving to the next one until dripping stops. If dripping is from center of stem, where the handle attaches, you will need to contact Price Pfister to request a replacement. They are very good to work with. Good luck.

    Leaking hotwater from the tap

You have two options. You can either replace the faucets- which is much easier for a novice, or you can rebuild them. As far as removing the handles, double check and make sure there is no set screw. If there is not, then the handles should come off. You may have to gently rock each one from side to side. Once you get the handles off, you should see where the valve unscrews. Now would be a good time to turn off the main water going to the tub. Once that is done carefully unscrew the valves and remove them. Take this to Lowes or Home Depot and you should be able to find repacking kits. They usually have full installation instructions included.
