Just bought a t7.3 treadmill from norditrack from sears and the unit is all setup and ready to plug i, got the console started display and controls appear to work and soon as you start a workout, the treadmill does not work, the belt and pulley do not start up ....? The incline adjustment works, but the treadmill does not fire up even after the display shows the workout has begun. Key is on, and out of demo mode according to info page. Any ideas or is this a dud that needs replacement shipped out? Thx Anup

SOURCE: Nordictrack motor will not run when start button is pushed.

Likely the cover of one of the motor brushes popped off. Unplug the machine before you pop it back in place, then try it again.

If that doesn't work, most likely it's the motor control board, or possibly the console, or finally just a loose connection behind the console.

But most likely, it's the motor brush cover. I've been seeing that alot with this model.

most likely the little plastic cover on one of the motor brushes popped off.

it's curved, but rectangular in shape and about the size of a quarter.

SOURCE: Freemotion treadmill incline not going all the way

The problem is either in the lower control board or the lift motor. I would start by replacing the lift motor. Then if that does not fix it, replace the lower control board.

SOURCE: Treadmill Incline Works, belt does not move

Check the drive belt. It may be loose or broken. If the belt is loose, then to tighten the drive belt, start by removing the front cover. loosen the bolts around the motor then tighten the drive belt by tightening the motor adjuster bolt. Once the drive belt is tight, tighten the motor back down.

Have a norditrack T7si that stop working in the panel but just half of it.. the other half buttons work good and the treadmill doesn't have any other issue. Help please!

More than likely the console needs to be replaced. There is not repair available, the entire console will have to be replaced.

What does a E2_C error code mean?

If the console doesn't receive a signal from the speed sensor, which is mounted on the back of the motor, the console stops sending power and displays an E2C error code.

You need someone to test voltage on the treadmill and determine if the power supply board, motor controller, or motor is bad.

You can have it repaired with "Sears Treadmill Repair" (even if you bought it somewhere else) calling them at 1-888-206-3131...

The Steps for Newer Style Console Calibration
1.Locate the calibration area on the rear or underside of the console (a hole, near the console's center, that goes through to the electronics board. (This hole should not have a screw in it.)
2.Insert a pencil (eraser end), into the hole and feel around for the cal button (will click when pressed).
3.Press the button 2 times (with the pencil eraser). The first click should show CL11 in the console, the second click should show CL21.
4.If the process was done correctly, and CL21 appears in the console, you are in "calibration mode." The next few steps consists of pressing buttons on the console and observing settings. This will not require any other tools.
5.Press ENTER. CL22 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
6.Press ENTER. CL23 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
7.Press ENTER. CL24 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
8.Press ENTER. CL25 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
9.Press ENTER. CL26 should display in the TIME window. You should then see the letter "E."
10.Press ENTER. You should see "SS" or "55" in the console.
11.Push the STOP/START button. For safety, at this point, you should step off, or be off, the treadmill.
12.Push the ENTER button. The walking belt should start to move, accelerate to maximum speed, then stop on its own.
13.When the belt stops, the incline should self test by raising to its highest incline position, then lowering back down to its lowest position.
14.Once the incline test is complete, push the POWER button 2 times. The unit should shut off and the console should go completely blank. If this happens, the treadmill is done calibrating and is ready for use.
If the letter "F" appears in the SPEED or INCLINE window when the power button is pressed 2 times, the treadmill is indicating a failure somewhere either in the SPEED or INCLINE (depending on the window the "F" appeared in). Troubleshooting the failure would be the next step.
Reset:
Unplug the treadmill. Locate the console key and place the safety or reset key into the treadmill console. Replace any parts that need replacing, or is large enough to trigger with a pencil eraser or Q-tip. Plug the treadmill plug back into the wall. Use the Q-tip to press the reset button. It may be necessary to hold the reset button down for a few seconds. "CL11" will appear in the display of the treadmill.

Press the reset button one more time with the Q-tip. "CL21" should appear on the screen. Press the enter key. The display will change again and show "CL22." Keep pressing the enter key until the numbers cycle through to the number "CL26." Press enter one more time. The letter E should appear on the display screen.

Press enter twice more. The letters "SS" should appear on the screen. When this happens, press the start/stop key. Making sure to keep well away from the tread, press enter to start the treadmill. The treadmill will start on its own. The treadmill will stop on its own after a few seconds. When it stops, press the power key two times. Remove the safety key and put in a safe place. Sound like function pad or upper console I don't know if you can purchase the function pad, but you may have to purchase the entire console and that may quite expensive.
