Which version of Award BIOS supports HT?

I suggest to visit the manufacturer's website. If manufacturer has changed BIOS or Update the BIOS, the patches or new BIOS will be available there.

I have NEC LaVie LC 300/1 Computer but I have problem of battery. which show low with in 5 or 6 min.

Hi there. If your computer is more than 1 year old and have never replaced the battery, you need to replace it. If it's less than 1 year old then go to the support website of NEC LaVie, get the serial number or service tag and search for the latest BIOS Update and download it.

Nec versapro nx series

there are BIOS flash available for the laptop, (www.nec-driver.com) download the required Bios Update for your Laptop (based on the model number). this should fix the password problem. second option is to remove the Bios battery but since it is a notebook, not recommended. :)

What hard drive will work with my NEC PowerMate 5250?

you would need to get the manual for this computer as the manual should state in it what type of hard drive it supports in terms of capacity and what connector types it needs ie IDE or SATA ?

Also are there any bios updates for this computers motherboard as that may resolve you not being able to attach a large capacity hard drive also in the bios see if you can enable LBA (logical block addressing ) http://www.pcguide.com/ref/hdd/bios/modesLBA-c.html or there may be another setting in the bios which may help you.

better flash the bios again, this time try a different version of the bios. but, if it wont boot from the new bios flash disk, then u just turned your computer into a paper weight.

I suppose the upgrade was a success. Then go to the boot sequence on the bios and set it to the cd rom. but make sure that the cdrom is working fine, meaning try to install it on a differn computer and see if you can play audio cd on it to see if its working or not.

Hi.
Be aware that you should only Update your BIOS when it is only your last resource, that means when you are having problems with your BIOS, because if the BIOS get corrupted you wont be able to fix it and your computer may become unusable.

If after reading this you still want to update it, all you have to do is visit the motherboard manufacturer website and look for an updated version of your BIOS, there you will find everything you need to know.
