You need to replace tank valve.
See photo of the product:
http://salestores.com/fluidmas.html

Buy this product at hardware store.
Turn off water to toilet.
Flush toilet to empty water from tank.
Under the tank, the tank valve is held with two nuts.
Nut1 seals water line to the valve.
Nut2 seals valve to the tank.

Loosen nut1 and it drops down. You can use same nut for new valve, or use new one that comes with product.
Notice there is a beveled washer stuck in bottom of valve, or stuck inside nut1. Your new valve will have a new beveled washer.
Loosen nut2 and valve come loose and can be lifted out.
When you lift up valve, remaining water will run onto floor so have a pan and towel ready.
Notice on bottom of valve is a rubber washer. This washer seals the valve and tank together so water will not leak.

New valve comes with 2 washers > big one and small one. They are usually attached together, small one inside bigger one, and you have to tear them apart.

Clean opening of sand and dirt.
Supply pipe is sticking up.
Put nut1 and small beveled washer onto the supply pipe, with flat side of washer facing downward and rounded side facing up toward tank.

Put bigger washer on bottom of new valve. Flat part of washer goes to valve, beveled part of washer faces downward to tank.
Set valve in place and notice how washer covers the hole.
Put nut2 on bottom of valve and tighten. As you tighten the nut, valve will rotate inside tank. Make sure float and parts can move freely.
The valve doesn't have to be super tight to seal. Just tighten ia reasonable amount, and you can tighten more later if needed.

Now attach nut1 to bottom of new valve and this will seal supply line going into tank.
This nut has to be fairly tight.
Turn water on.
Valve has adjustments for selecting height of water inside tank.
Use paper towel on bottom of valve to check for leaks.
Leave catch pan under new valve for couple days to make sure there is no dripping.
If water is seeping, then tighten nut1 or nut2 a bit more.
Sometimes the shut off start leaking. Open shut off all the way to see if this solves problem.

How do I fix my truck from overflowing out of the gas tank when I am filling up.

Sounds like the vent tube is blocked or there is a kink in the filler hose, this happened to me after a pump change I slid a piece of garden hose down the filler and it knocked the kink out.

Hope this helps.

2009 hyundai elantra gas tank engine light

Buy a new tank cap. Fill ur tank slower. Inspect the fill hose for akink or damage. And looknst the overflow vent line. Fuel caps keep air out they do need replacing once and a while. Ur take vents at the cap sounds like ur cap is not venting or ur return over flow line has issues try a new cap first. Then go deeper if issue still there chk the top of the tank where the gauge sending unit is. Etc etc.

Sounds like the water tank keeps filling

2 possibilities.1. The water level is set higher the the overflow tube. This will cause the water to run into the overflow continuously. You should be able to see this. 2. The large seal - bottom center of the tank - is leaking. This will cause the water level to slowly drop after a fill. The water tank will start to run again after flushing - BUT NOT CONTINUOUSLY. You should see if there is a small amount of water flowing from the rim to the bowl 15 seconds after the water has stopped running after a flush.

Where is the radiator cap to add stop leak

Lift the hood. In the upper right hand corner is the overflow fill tank. If you want to put it in fast reach down the right side of the radiator(when it's cool) unscrew the small plastic petcock and drain a gallon or two of antifreeze into clean pan. Replace petcock. Open the cap on tank and add stop leak. Fill back up with antifreeze. Now would be a good time to change it. Go to Napa and buy the original antifreeze the car came with Zerex G5. Mix 50/50 with distilled water.Fill to just above cold line and start engine keep adding mixture till it won't go down any more. Replace cap and watch level for two or three days of driving add mixture after engine is cold12_2_2011_3_42_50_pm.gif

Where to put coolant in 98 chevy blazer

IF THERE IS NO RADIATOR CAP ON TOP OF THE RADIATOR, YOU SHOULD SEE A SMALL HOSE TO THE TOP OF THE RADIATOR FOLLOW THAT TO ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER, THERE WILL BE A WHITE OR YELLOWISH CONTAINER ON THE WHEEL WELL, WITH A CAP ON TOP! IT USUALLY HAS COOLANT PRINTED ON IT! THAT IS WHERE YOU CAN PUT THE COOLANT!

My dehumidifier will not stop when it is filled and overflows on the floor

Did I answer this yesterday for you>

I think your tank is being held up by a piece of debris or packing material. Remove your tank and look for some obstruction.

Are you able to put a hose on your tank and run the water to a drain or sump? That is the best way to dispose of the water.

Ge wbsr washer overflows...

Could it be ...this happens only when it is overloaded or the load is out of balance. Please clarify.

If this is not the case .. the water level hose running from the outside tank to the water level switch is likely not making a good seal (otherwise the water level switch itself is bad). Sometimes with age the hose forms a crack in it near or at the end where it connects. This could happen at either end of the hose. Also if you have removed the control panel recently (for any reason) you may have (not knowingly) pulled the water level hose loose from the water level switch. Just slide the hose back onto the tube of the switch before putting the control panel back in place and all will be fine after the first filling of the tub (it may take one filling cycle to build the needed vacuum back up in the hose). Unless of course in the process you have broken the tube off the switch where the hose goes on. In this case replace the switch.
