Hi, I am having a LG MC-7148MS Microwave. I am trying to use the utility corner 5 option i.e. dehumidification. But once selected, I am getting LOCKED sign in the display and START button is not getting pressed. Please suggest how this would work. Thanks, Arpana

Very common , You need to replace the switch membrain , this is the entire touch pad , they are not to much $ , and you should find it easy online.

Yes. The white inside the glass that you are describing is a blown fuse. To find out what size fuse it is look around the base or top of the fuse. You will see engraved something like "125V 5A. You can pick these up at Home Depot or Lowes in the electrical isle. You can also type www.google.com and enter the word "fuse" and then the size it is. The keypad has failed and it is available as a part of a new outer door panel, whose part number is 383EW1A130E for $103.19 plus shipping.

You can get it from Encompass here or you can call them toll-free at 866-779-5835.

It does not contain part numbers, so you will need to contact Encompass.

Direct spraying of cleaners on the keypad and steam from the cooktop can damage the controls.

I always recommend that you spray non-ammonia cleaner on a soft cloth (not a paper towel which can scratch) and gently wipe the keypad.

And I always recommend that you use the vent fan whenever you're cooking on the stove top to keep heat, steam, and grease out of the controls and door panels.
