I have a Terk LF 30S and have it connected to a Dish Network 311 and is transmitting to a Vizio LCD. I am having issues setting up the IR Extender ... I have no clue where to set it on the Sat Box.

Check whether any other light sources, that energise the remote sensor inside the system. Some CCFL lamps used to home lighting can cause this.

Hi rshowe610,my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and I was going over your post and seewhere the Vizio TV is not reading the DISH Network receiver. There are a coupleof things to check first, you will want to make sure all connections are tightand secure. If you still notice the inputs missing from your Menu screen trychanging out the Cord/Cable of the missing input and replace it with anotherconnection and see if it reads it. Hello, Daniel Busa with Dish Network customer service. on those lcd tv's they will interfere with your remote. You have two solutions, you can turn off the back light feature in the tv menu, or you can set the remote to a uhf frequency which will probably require a new remote.

Had same problem - turned off Adaptive Lumina, Backlight control, and Ambient light sensors on the Vizio advanced picture settings and the Dish remote now works. Vizio was emitting an infared signal that interfered with the Dish remote signals with these settings on. TV still works and looks just fine... But best of all Dish remote works too.

Not all remote are compatible with all our receivers. Depending on the receiver and remote model numbers, if they are compatible you can readdress the remote to the receiver. I have provided a link for readdressing the remote to the receiver. I hope this helps.
