I have and Canon iR3570 and when SNMP is disabled the printer goes offline and network printing ends. Enable SNMP and change the default community to something more secure and printer goes offline and...

It's possible that the SNMP Status Enabled box is checked on the print server (Printer/Properties/Ports/Port Settings). It suddenly went offline after printing a document. When I turn it off & on again, it manages to print the current job but then goes offline.

Turn off the SNMP option in the TCP/IP printer port Properties

Right-click the printer, select properties
Select port tab, highlight port, click Configure Port
UnCheck SNMP status Enabled.

This fix was given to me from Xerox Tech support.

Epson CX5800F printer Netgear PS121 Print Server difficulties

Another thing to try if it STILL doesn't work is
Printer&Faxes>>Properties>>Advanced>>"Print Directly to Printer"

Just remember to restart after you try both of these. The Status Monitor in it's current for (at least for me) simply sucks.
