Message indicator light on Uniden PowerMax 5.8ghz handset

The message lights on my Uniden handsets continue to blink, long after we've cleared our new voicemail messages. Any way to reset it?

Montana Guy again ... I found a solution: Press down the "find handset" button until the paging beep stops (about 5 seconds) and this will reset the indicator lights on the handsets.

... That should be the "find handset" button on the BASE UNIT of your Uniden phones.

I'm having the same problem, too. However, the beeping continues and continues. Even when it stops, the light comes back on. Any other thoughts?

Blinded by the light

If you just press the find-handset momentarily, it will continue to beep. That's normal and is how you find a lost handset. If you press and HOLD the button, it stops beeping in about 5 seconds and resets the handset flashing lights

Which indicator light on what model Uniden DECT 6.0 system?
If it's the message light then you have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Uniden D1780

Go to the base station of the D1780, press Play. Alternatively, when all of the handsets are in standby, press Message/Mute (below 0 on the handset) on one of the handsets. Then wait until all new messages have been played back. The blinking light indicates new messages on your answering machine.

You can find this information in the manual on page 16. Uniden has the manuals for their phones on their support site: http://www.uniden.com/scat/dectphones_mnl . The direct link to the manual is http://www.uniden.com/content/ebiz/uniden/resources/ownersmanuals/D1780om.pdf . (Note: you will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to view or print the manual.)

I hope this helps.

DECT 1480-4 Uniden Corless phone- how do you get rid of red LED lite ?

Do you mean the status light on the handset or the one on the base? The status light on the base will be on if the answering system is on. The handset status light will be on but steady when the handset is on the charger. (It's a battery charging indicator in that case; take the handset off the charger to stop the charging system. It provides a trickle charge to offset the battery discharging over time) The light blinks to indicate new messages are available on the answering system. Press the Play button on the base or the Messages/Mute button on the handset to play new messages.

Uniden offers the manuals for many of their phones on their support site: http://www.uniden.com/bin/venda?ex=co_disp-view&bsref=uniden&scat=dectphones_mnl . The direct link to the manual for the DECT-1480 is http://www.uniden.com/content/ebiz/uniden/resources/ownersmanuals/DECT1480-2om.pdf .

I hope this helps.

I have a uniden dect1580 6.0 and the red light in the left hand corner blinks all the time.

That is the message waiting indicator, it is telling you that your Call Notes (Or whatever your service provider calls it's voicemail) has a message waiting. If you do not have a message waiting, you can turn the light of by following these steps:

Resetting the voice message waiting indicator
When you receive a new voice mail message, the new message LED on the top of the handset flashes and
appears in the handset display. In the event your message waiting light gets out of sync with your phone company’s
voice messaging system, you can manually reset it back to the “No messages waiting” state.
Press and hold FIND on the base for five seconds.
Note: The handsets connected to the base will start to beep, however, keep pressing for five seconds.
A beep sounds and the message alert tone is reset.
